I teach piano fluency and how to train you to use your ear to bring you
to the stage where you can play virtually any piano song that you hear.
I use many well known songs to guide your learning right from the
start! I've made each song very easy for you to learn by breaking them
down into small parts, so you can practice each part individually and
then put it all together.
You're going to save time, money, and aggravation. You'll learn to
avoid the mistakes and disastrous situations that you've been
vulnerable to. Just for starters, here are 10 ways of fast-tracking
your way to becoming a fantastic pianist.
Studies show that 97% of all pianists discover that learning how to
play piano isn't as easy as they thought it would be. If you use the
same old time-wasting strategies, drills, boring exercises that other
people use, you're even worse off!

I have been remiss in replying to some emails (particularly VASTprogrammer emails) because if my "too many" accounts combined with various distractions. I have recently started consolidating me email so hopefully this will get better.
I think I am caught up on VP email. If not, I promise I am not ignoring you, I likely just lost track of your email. Please send (or resend) me any issues concerning bugs or feature and I will get back to you promptly (at least that is the plan :-).

What is VASTprogrammer?
VASTprogrammer (VP) is an exciting new program that allows you to interact with your Kurzweil VAST synth from your PC or Mac. It uses the Kurzweil control paradigm; but in a much more useful and expanded way than you have ever seen before.
yeah : and than they connect it to a laptop
and you wonder if they play anything : ableton life ?
You will find them in violins, soon built into singers

I use the complte opposite road..
I do not make the amp and the speaker make part of the
sound shaping chain..
I have cosen near perfect transduders : the
limitations are know
In my case now i have chosen a stuio monitor : a
Tannoy 12 " dual concentric
with a very high efficiency ( 101 dB at 2.83 V at 1
meter ) I can burn 450 watts avarage 800 or so peak ..
And i use a over dimensioned amp 900 watts / channel
I very high slewrate 40 volts /microsecond minimum ..
a compressor limiter keeps the peaks out of the non
leaneair region of the amp : if it will eventually
happen .
Like peter waker of quad once said : an amp is a wire
with gain. noting taken off, nothing added
Transsistor amps should be kept in their linear region
.. far away from their clip points ..
Tube amps are part of the musical instrument ..

Sorry I haven't been making posts lately. About 1 year ago I started playing guitar & bass. Recently I was seduced into the world of valve amps and I am having a lot of fun building some. I am also having fun playing music again (VP development took a lot of my time).
However, I am still here for VP, of course, and will fix any bugs/problems that you send me. I hope to get the first "non-beta" out soon but it seems most are happy with the current version.

I have had to put my attention on other things the past month or so, but I have been trying to watch the board. It looks like there are no major problems.
If any issues pop up (especially for new users trying to get going with VP) please send me an email.

I have been occupied with other things for the past several weeks. I
hope to get the next release out soon. IF there are any notable
bugs/issues that I need to address please let me know.
I use the KB3 programs quite a bit. I've an 88 note controller driving my 2661 and the controller's mod wheel on the CC and on the 2661 works for the leslie fast/slow. So, the controller is obviously sending the midi cc and the 2661 responding, but as to whether or not it's 68 I can't check atm...
I'll get back to ya when I get a chance to find out for sure. Aloha, Doug

In the setup editor on the FXMOD2 page, LOPTS gives very strange behaviour on the two bottom Bus Fields.
All the other Bus fields work OK, for all of the 4 KDFX pages, except these two. Is it possible to copy the LOPTS from one of the adjoining fields for these. They are identical to the rest of the Bus fields.
The soft buttons didn't work properly for this one. It seems to work OK for other pages though.
I've also found a few other parameters that required learning, and have been LOPTSing anything I can. Did you want me to send the VPM file, if so, where do you want me to send it. Email me if you prefer.
Also, one other feature request, if you have time, is the ability to dump out the objects in a format that can be imported into Cubase. It should be trivial to do this. I've got a copy of the required format here if you need it.
This will allow users to quickly update the cubase patch list to match their Kurz.
Another usability issue, is it possible to swap the way that cursor keys currently operate, so that we can navigate using unmodified cursor keys all the time, with Alt-cursor scrolling back through previous commands.
Also, perhaps something like PageUp/PageDown to replicate the +/- buttons on the K2600 and Home/End for scrolling through various layers (to replicate Chan/Bank buttons).
Essentially it would be great if we could operate VAST Programmer with one hand on the keypad and cursor keys. It would speed up working with VASTProgrammer significantly.

These libraries are very good and you can't beat the price! They are on sale until midnight tonight. I purchased several and feel this is the best money that I have spent in months!
The documented rotary fast/slow control # for B3 programs apears to be incorrectly documented. Kurzweil has it as 68 but this appears not to work. At least I don't seem to be able to get it to work.
This campaign is about Human beings, Democracy, UNHCR, Refugees, The Iraqis,
Islam, Kurds, Human rights, Respect, Money, Donations, Angelina Jolie,
Pavarotti, Giorgio Armani, Donors, Peace, History, Campaigns and about you if
you care about these words.
Hi there,
I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.
This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here: http://freeweb.jamieweb.com/lebanon/human-buttons.htm
Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:
http://www.tbns.net/unhcr/smile.html
For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.org especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example:

"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm
Together we will build better world.

Thanks for the follow up Mike. Hopefully the fix for the Intel Mac
will sort out the problem. The mLAN interface appears in the AMS
pane, so the Mac definately knows it's there, and the mLAN MIDI is
working OK. (mLAN have just released drivers for the Intel Mac - so
that part works fine).

There is a known issue with Plumstone running (or rather *not* running) on Intel Macs. I am presently working to address this and I hope to have a solution soon.
I need to give the mLan issue some thought but I'm not hopeful of coming up with anything soon...
I tried to run VAST Programmer on the Mac on the weekend, and came accross a problem. VAST Programmer doesn't show the mLAN MIDI ports in it's Configuration Page.
Until Steinberg create a Mac Intel compatible MIDEX8 driver, or I can scrounge up enough funds for a MOTU MIDI interface, mLAN is the only connection I have available to the outside world.
I have the Plumstone kit installed, and VAST Programmer appears to start up OK, though it can't find the K2600 (because it's attached to the mLAN MIDI ports).
