It's a very nice story that you could have discovered the title of that
song and it's really nice from you to give us the result of your quest!
so I'm happy for you and let me thank you for the share!
With special thanks to a member of another Yahoo group who went way
beyond what I might have hoped for, Michael Quatro's "In Collaboration
With The Gods" is indeed the song!!!
I am over-awed by the response to this posting. Amazingly, this has
been remastered to CD and can be purchased at

With the collective musical knowledge in this group, I'm hoping someone
will be able to identify this song. I taped it from a local radio
station in the mid to late 70s.

doesn't have enough melody for wakeman. Doesn't sound strawbs to me either. Doubting its anything Genesis-ish, the drums don't have that crack either. Not one of the big league groups, and lead (two lead) guitar dominated, with keys in support. Yet they have a Mellotron and maybe a CP70 I'm thinking. I'm guessing now, something like Starcastle? I don't know it. Oh, and not any of the German bands, I heard lots of them then. Tritonus, etc.
No offense , but I never saw or heard wakeman play that bad ever back in the day.... Sounds like a college band to me. Saw him play quite a bit. Insanely polished from day one.

It is a real tough challenge for sure. Still forwarding to others...

That was my impression as well. Though there are a couple of piano phrases that come across Wakeman-ish they seem to me to be imitative. The mellotron is there but I think you'd hear more Mini-Moog as this is likely around or after Journey to the Center of the Earth. The guitar sounds more familiar but I can't place that either. Yet.
BOY!! That was a lot of help wasn't it??? lol

I think I actually have or used to have it - pretty positive it is Rick Wakeman but right now not sure from which album. greg

Does VP. work with Windows Vista? Does it display the graphical
representation of a sample in sample mode? Can you edit a sample in VP.?
and will the edits be made permanent in the hardware unit of my
K2600RS? When I say edit I mean can you trim a sample in VP.? ,or will
that still need to be done on the hardware unit itself? What low to mid
priced midi interfaces would anyone suggest? Thanks to anyone and
everyone who can help answer these questions for me. I'm not new to
programming on my Kurzweil K2600RS, but I am when it comes to useing a
computer.I just stepped into the twenty first century and got my first
computer about six weeks ago. When I found out that this program
existed my eyeballs immediately started hi fiveing eachother. The
cryptic display is a real pain if you enjoy exploreing the depths of
these instruments and I would greatly appreciate any relief. Thanks
again . scottfieldmah
