"Will New Country Radio spin this Album?"
Well, folks, will "New Country Radio" spin this new Album? What Album
am I talking about? Have you ever heard of Alison Krauss? She has the
greatest country....... folk...... Bluegrass style ever .......NOT
Heard on "New Country Radio", and I have always said that the country
fans are missing a lot of great country music when no one seems to
spin Alison Krauss' music! I wish I could meet this fantastic singer!
I have all her records......... she is one of my top country singers,
and she has been since she started! Do you hear her much today on
country music? Why not! Do you care? Vince Gill...... another great
star of country, Bluegrass....... and folk! Do you hear Vince Gill
today much on New Country radio gang? No! Why not?
Now we have another Big country Star recording and releasing
a "Bluegrass" album, Joe Diffie, signed a deal with Country and folk
label Rounder Records, home of Alison Krauss, to record a new album
of bluegrass music. So now what are you country fans going to do? Sit
back and let New Country Radio ignore this great "Bluegrass" album
coming out soon? Why let New Country Radio get away with not spinning
this NEW Release!
I say......... contact the New Country radio every chance you
get........ and request songs from that album soon to come out! Even
if that New Country Radio Station doesn't have a request line........
keep calling and writing the radio stations with no letup! What do
you think will happen? Nothing? You "shoot" those calls to radio and
they will spin those songs you want! If they say they can't, ask then
why? And who could you talk to to get your request heard!
Why should we do that? Because the corporate country says we don't
want to hear "Bluegrass" music on our "New Country Radio".........
that's why! Joe Diffie deserves to be heard on the main stream
lifeline of the stars! So does Vince Gill......... and Alison Krauss!
If you country fans don't like those stars of country, then ignore my
article. But, if you love to hear these great stars, then you will
help them get heard on main stream country media radio and TV, the
lifeline of every star in United states of America! Let's unite in
this issue gang! Make corporate country stop segregating us and give
the fans country music that made our country great!
What moved me to write this article gang? When I got word that
another great super star of country, Joe Diffie is bucking corporate
country and recording a great "Bluegrass" album, knowing that his
efforts to do so, might not bring him a big profit because the main
stream media would ignore it, however, he had the guts to do it
anyway! A true country music star who hates corporate country and
their insistance of total control for the purpose of selfish greed
with no care, or respect for any of the stars (Legendary or other
wise), and for the fans, of our country! Joe Diffie! My Cowboy Hat
is off to you, and all the stars like Vince Gill, and my favorite
woman of country, Alison Krauss! Keep singing what you guys want to
sing! And don't let corporate country chock out of you your great
personalities that all your fans love!
Yours truely gang!

Powerful words by a powerful writer. Read this if you read nothing
else. I only wish I could write like B. Anderson. His mind and hands
have been touched by the Lord.
Subject: Bill Anderson talks about Don Helms....This is Great....

Hi Gang:
Sadly, an era in country music that has been dying piece by piece,
legend by legend, over a period of fifty-five years finally came to
its unhappy conclusion yesterday morning here in Nashville.
Don Helms, the great steel guitar player, passed away. He was the
last surviving member of Hank Williams’ original Drifting Cowboys
band.
He was also one of the funniest men and finest human beings it has
ever been my privilege to know.
[More:]
If you were down in the dumps and you needed a good laugh to cheer
you up, you called Don Helms. If you wanted somebody to tell you the
real story of Hank Williams…his songs, his charisma, and his
demons...you called Don Helms. You wanted a great steel player who
never changed his style over the years, but whose style never went
out of style, you called Don Helms.
I’ll never forget a night not long after I came to Nashville when
I was riding home from a tour in the back of the Wilburn Brothers’
long black Cadillac. Don was working for them at that time, both as
a road musician and as a businessman in their publishing and booking
offices. On this particular night, he was also their chauffeur,
climbing under the wheel somewhere in Michigan and pointing the car,
as he had so many times during his career, toward Nashville.
For some reason, I couldn’t fall asleep that night, so I leaned
across the back of the driver’s seat and began asking Don
questions about Hank Williams. I found him more than willing to
talk, to share stories…some funny, some sad…mesmerizing me mile
after long, dark mile.
He told me about endless days and nights on the road before air
conditioned cars and interstate highways….about Hank’s
incredible back pain…about his problems with Audrey…about how he
loved to fish…how much he loved Bocephus…and how he could turn a
phrase and write a song in virtually no time at all. Hank had been
my boyhood hero, and to find myself one-on-one with the man
responsible for so much of his musical sound was almost more than a
wide-eyed kid from Georgia could take.
In later years, when I needed someone to come talk about Hank on my
radio shows, Don was there. When we needed a legend back in January
of this year to play steel guitar on our Country’s Family Reunion
videos, Don was there. For the rest of my life I will remember
Don’s playing “Cold Cold Heart” all by himself in that studio
filled with stars, Vince Gill sitting nearby, tears streaming down
his face. When the song was over, Vince looked at the rest of us
gathered in the room and said, “Guys, THAT’S the reason I came
to Nashville.”
I consider myself so lucky to have known and traveled and existed in
the presence of Don Helms. His music will live forever.
I just wish he could have done the same.
Bill Anderson
Well......... how did you feel after reading the article? Do you
agree with Vince Gill?
No! Oh well, I tried again to express what our country is now
missing, because of corporate country! It's missing the high respect
for elders......... it's missing love........ kindness........
goodness........ the respect of heritage in every sense! Did Vince
Gill show some kind of weakness, when crying for such a reason as
that? Living around country music legends who today are shown no
respect, and whom are ignored by many in country today, To me folks,
Vince is a caring, loving, respectful man, and in my book, these
traits........... of a honorable man standing tall in a crowd of
corporate selfishness, is what draws me to super stars like Vince
Gill!!
Vince Gill and others like him, are the giant superstars of our
country, and supporting them and their music is what I will always
do......... despite corporate's action against stars like Vince Gill
for speaking out against their actions in ignoring the many legends
of country!
I don't care if someone doesn't like me using the old
expression; "He's Black Marked" by corporate for "Bucking-the-
machine" (corporate country), and if Vince Gill and other stars are
not "Black Marked" by corporate country, then why don't you hear
about what these superstars are doing lately? Mass Media is ignoring
their activity that's why! And don't tell me that nobody wants to
hear Vince Gill anymore because his voice is not as good as it
was!!! That's a big lie if someone tells you that! He's never
sounded better than right now!
Bill Anderson himself is a legend of country music gang! How many of
you really know Bill? He's still a live today gang! I must admit I
do not know him well.......... but, I wish I did! I do know this, I
have and played his music for years........ and I will go to my
grave still playing his music, even his latest releases!! Would I
cry if I had the opportunity to be in the company of Vince Gill,
Bill Anderson, George Jones, Merle haggard, Willie Nelson, Little
Jimmy, and so many other legendary stars in one place for any given
time........ you bet I would....... it would be an honor I would
treasure for life!!
Sadly, many in country now would just laugh at such an
event......... they'd look at it as just an old get together by old
stars, and old country music promoters like me, that can't let the
past go! Is that how you feel about this issue gang? After all,
Vince Gill isn't that old yet? He is feeling what I feel about these
old stars of country, the living ones of today, and those who have
died, like Tammy, Johnny, and Conway twitty!
You see gang.......... I'm not the only one in this country music
profession who feels that corporate country has succeeded in taking
the human aspect out of our country. Just look around you, listen to
the NEW country music of these living legends now, today, buy some
of their latest music, and listen to their crys, can you hear the
cry of justice singing out from these old stars?? If you truly want
to be a country person then allow their music to reach your hearts!
The young stars of country can still learn from the old
stars............ and maybe if they can see what Vince Gill, Bill
Anderson and others like us, are trying to convey to all country
people........ then maybe those young stars will have somebody like
Vince Gill cry at memory of them when they die and leave town.
Yours truly gang,
Sincerely,
Jimmy Stix

William Cox sent me the below words that are between the lines.
______________________________________________________________
From gophercentral.com's Country news:
Eddy Arnold's "To Life" Stretches Chart Success Into Seventh Decade
Eddy Arnold's song, "To Life," will chart on Billboard's country
airplay chart this week, stretching his chart success into a seventh
consecutive decade. Arnold recorded the song for his final RCA album,
released in 2005. The label had planned to honor Arnold on his 90th
birthday on May 15 by asking radio stations to help chart the single.
However, he died on May 8. Arnold charted 147 country singles,
including "Make the World Go Away," "I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I
Can Hold You in My Arms)," "Anytime" and "Cattle Call." He earned more
Top 10 hits (92) and more consecutive Top 10 hits (67) than anyone in
country history. Arnold is ranked as Billboard's No. 1 country artist
of all time.
Bill
_______________________________________________________________
And I can't help but think of all the country radio people of today,
and all the young country stars that have no idea how important it is
to always continue to keep the legends alive by our lifetime of
playing and respecting their great recordings because someday they
will be old and grey hoping people in country don't forget them!
Yes! Today our life is but a moment and then forgotten! Why? Because
that's life.
It has always been that way! Famous people who have worked hard
through the years are forgotten as time ticks onward. It's a real
shame isn't it?
Sir Eddy Arnold is truly a great legend of country music and every
radio station claiming to be country should stand and applaud this
great talent, with an expression of airtime play of his last resent
recording. Yes, play some of his older greats, but, play his unheard
new CD that just came out! Don't just play his old music!
You young recording artist, stars that will someday be legends of
country, tell radio that country people do want to remember their
country heritage by continuing to give tribute to the legends by
always playing their last, and latest recordings up to, and beyound
their leaving town like Sir Eddy Arnold just did! After all, you young
stars would want radio to remember you that way, yes? Or do you want
country people someday to ignore your great recordings? Put yourself
in Sir Eddy Arnolds family, friends and fans shoes, sort-of-speak,
and you will feel a sadness they are experiencing because nobody in
country radio seems to care about this legend's new recorded country
music, by not playing even one of the latest songs on his CD! We are
lucky if they will play an old song of Sir Eddy Arnold's music!
I'm only fifty six years of age, my whole life in country, and I feel
so sad that this respect is gone with the wind faster than ever
before! Never in time has it been more greedy, selfish, unkind,
hateful, dishonorable, disrespectful, in one generation than it is
true of today's country people who are in control of the mass media!
And it sickens be to no end how country people don't complain to radio
for not giving Sir Eddy Arnold a royal honorable send off that he most
truly disserves and is owed because of his many years in this great
country! What is the matter with you people? Has your God given love
for our country music heritage gone up in smoke with the burning fire
within you?
This is Sir Eddy Arnold we are talking about here!
I'm sorry. I guess I got carried away here in my thoughts. Maybe I'm
wrong. Maybe I respect our country music heritage to much. After all,
what could country people really do to force country radio to play
some of "Sir Eddy Arnold's" NEW CD music. These corporate media
companies only think of their profits, and they really have no
feelings like we do?
So all you young stars of country music, remember, "OUR LIFE IS BUT A
MOMENT AND THEN FORGOTTEN", and as for Sir Eddy Arnold, may he rest in
peace. And to all his family, friends and fans, may you be comforted
to know, my heart and mind is with you and yours on this year of pain
and sorrow on missing a legend who will not be forgotten in my family.

ARTICLE.
Let's Keep Our Country Great!
I sit here typing this article after viewing the (
www.allaboutcountry.com ) greatest online country music news magazine
in the world, and think how fortunate I am having two careers, great
loving children, a wonderful wife, great friends, fantastic fans, and
country music people who read my articles. The last one was meant to
make you all laugh of course!
I see Trace Adkins Releases First Book October 23rd, great news! Wait
until you read what he says in this new book! He's a lot like me and
other rebels who buck the main stream country sometimes! I wish him
success in his new book!
I had my first book published on July 2005, and one of the blurbs on
the back cover of my book is none other than the president and good
friend of mine of www,allaboutcountry.com, Mr. Bill Hennes! Bill read
my book and was delighted to be on the back cover. The only thing is,
the book is about a subject not about country. It's connected to my
other career, public safety and security for America! What better
career could I have besides country music than trying to keep America
safe and secure! After all folks, country music brings families
together and after September 11th, we all needed to hear the great
country music helping us all to cope with certain realities in
today's life of the twenty first century.
Agian, I am a rebel sometimes when I have to be, and if there is a
subject I know well, besides country music, it's public safety and
security. Since 1968 I have been busy with working this career, and
one thing I know, crime prevention is every American's responsibility!
I guess it's human for people today to be in a make believe world of
their own, safe and secure, families living happy, healthy and
successful. Nothing wrong with a happy family life, we all want such.
True reality of life after September 11th is too much to fathom for
Americans over three hundred million populace. We look at our little
individual worlds as a safe haven far from crime and terrorist
attacks!
Until someone in our family circle is a victim of crime! Then the
world of reality strikes hard, with no natural affection, love,
kindness, goodness present and panic set's in! Security and safety is
gone suddenly, just like a raging storm! Like a tornado with no wall,
tower, thing or person to stop it's powerful surge smashing your make
believe world to pieces!
The police made their report, after they arrived, responding to a
security department's call for help. They investigate and take
statements from wittnesses (If there was any), then make their
report. They tell the victim/s that they will do what they can to
find the criminal/s involved. That's all they can do. And they are
doing their jobs well. No shame should fall on our Criminal Justice
system's Vanguard, the police. They are a re-active crime control
agency.
If the crime was at a Shopping mall, Hospital, University or office
complex, chances are, the corporate owners are afraid the liability
risk is much to high to give their security departments the right
tools they need to prevent such crimes against your family. They
implement a strict policy of hands off, when it comes to preventing
crime! They are told to call the police if there is something that
may cause an interruption in the peace and public safety. The owners
even go as far as telling store keepers in the shopping malls to call
the police directly, and do not call security, for they are wasting
time going through the security thinking that the malls security can
prevent a crime!
However! This entity (Security) is the only entity that has the
before, during, and after the fact premise to be successful in
preventing crime and terrorist attacks. The police are usually at a
scene after the fact! Please, we are not saying the police are not
needed! For they must be in place working with security to complete
the circle of preponderate to fight crime!
So what happens when these sequence of scenes take place at this
present time in American history? we then have in the end result,
many frustrated people! The victim/s, their families, the security,
the police, the owners, the politicians, and the public! For the
crime was not prevented! And then everyone looks at the police and
security, and say, where were you guys?
Does the United States department of Homeland Security operate in
these complexes? Then they to are not at a scene before the fact of a
crime or terrorist attack. Does the Homeland Security department
encourage the owners of these complexes, Shopping malls, Hospitals,
Universities/Colleges and office complexes to give their security
people the tools to prevent crime instead of just responding to these
problems? Do they encourage law makers to change the laws to help
private and governmental security people to prevent crime instead of
acting like police and just respond to a crime in progress?
In escence, we as American citizens continue to ignore facts. Facts
that will hit you right in the face, at any moment! You want more
crime prevention? Then supply the before factor that will altimately
prevent your family from being the next victims in
universities/colleges, hospitals, Shopping Malls and other complexes.
My research that started in 1968, shows that our communities could
benefit greatly if large complexes would take the responsibility of
preventing their own inevitable crime and terrorist attacks! Folks
our front lines are not secure!
We have space age technology today that would boggle the minds of all
Americans! This 21fst century technology is barely used in America,
but, if it was, security would use it to prevent crime! You'd be
surprised how much of this technology isn't being used in shopping
malls, hospitals, universities/colleges and other complexes. It would
put you in panic mode, and I could prove it! I am very concerned when
my family visits these complexes knowing what I do about their
security as it is now. Security at present time will not prevent
crime!
In hospitals, there are so many crimes covered up that if you knew
you'd also be concerned as I am. Look what happen at Virginia Tech.,
something I say should never happen, especially when it is proven
that it could have truly been prevented to the degree it did!
I know it is human to live in your family make believe worlds, the
safe haven we all need just to keep from becoming depressed over the
September 11th reality of things. But, when it comes to preventing
crime and terrorist attacks at the frontline level, somebody needs to
do something, and soon!
I know that there are many other security people and police out in
America that sees what I see. Please! Pass this article on to
everyone you can, and maybe, just maybe, we could prevent a family
from experiencing crime!
Preventing crime and terrorist attacks is the responsibility of all
Americans! Especially the corporations that own these big complexes
that draw large crowds! Terrorist attacks will be centered on these
areas! And some entity needs to prevent crime! Not just respond to it!
I pray that the media grabs my article and runs with it so things
change in security for America, before you, and your family
experience crime! My family is dear to me to, and if any of my family
members experience crime, knowing what I know about crime prevention,
it would cut my heart deep! It's like a medical doctor who can't save
his family member at a crime scene because his hands are forced tied!
Everybody worries about the liability risk of any operation. The
Cities worry about their police putting them in a high liability risk
when acting in a pysical way. Shopping Malls and other complexes
worry about their security acting in such a way that it would put
them in a high liability risk and that's why they play it safe
insisting that security have a hands off policy! But, what they don't
understand is, that you could be putting yourself in a higher
liability risk for not putting hands on! For a crime could be
commited before the police get there, after security calls the
police! As time ticks onward I foresee lawyers winning cases against
these complexes for not having security that would prevent crime
against your family while shopping in their mall or place of business.
America, Wake Up! Is the Title of my book, and if you'd like a copy,
AMAZON and TARGET is selling it and you can get a copy right off my
website, www.irg-security.us, and if you do get a copy please, e-mail

Honorable Mention
By Jimmy Stix
Saturday May 12th 2007
www.jimstix.com
jimstix@...jimstixcountrymusic@...
www.yahoocma.com
It's great when people give out awards for so many professional
achievements, and even though the professional people recieving the
awards are not always the top well known, and todays most popular
professional in one's field, they do give out, Honorable Mention.
Usually they give out the first, second and third awards first, then
many honorable mention awards.
So what's my point?
Well, the new country radio professionals in many levels (including
the consultants they hire), and the corporate country in general,
continues to ignore the legendary stars to the point of not even
mentioning the stars new CDs when they hit the new country music
market!
If any of these legendary stars; Larry Gatlin, Gene Watson, Willie
Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Freddy Fender, George Jones, Merle haggard, Ed
Bruce, Warner Mack, Freddy Powers, Tommy Cash, Vern Gosdin, Leona
Williams, Eddy Arnold, Bobby Bare, Al Downing, Chester Smith, Tanya
Tucker, Roy Clark, Moe Bandy, Mickey Gilley, Jerry Reed, Joe
Stafford, Charlie McCoy, Rex Allen Jr, Stonewall Jackson, Ricky Van
Shelton, Riders in the Sky, Johnny Western, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jan
Howard, Mitchell Torok, Larry Cordle, Frankie Miller, Freddy Hart,
Charlie Louvin, Narvel Felts, Clinton Gregory, Jett Williams, Rustie
Blue, Jack Greene, Marvin Rainwater, John Conlee, Hank Thompson,
Crystal Gayle, Tom T Hall, Johnny Counterfit, Ray Price, David
Frizzell, Norma Jean, Leroy Van Dyke, Kitty Wells, Johnny Wright,
Noel Haggard, Barbara Fairchild, Doug Dugger (Chaplin of Country
Music) Janie Fricke, Ernie Ashworth, Ken Mellons, Bobby Wright, OJ
Hanssen, Claude Gray, Micheal Twitty, Robyn Young, Mel McDaniel,
Frankie Miller, Norma Jean, Ernie Ashworth, Lance Miller, Mayf
Nutter, Jeannie Seely, Tribute to Floyd Tillman, Tribute to Dave
Kirby, Tribute to Dave Dudley, Tribute to Redd Stewart, Coming soon
Tommy Overstreet, Marty Stuart, Heather Myles, Izak & West, Todd
Tally, Wendell Crowley, Mike Bella, Al Brumley, Jimmy Eaves, Rustie
Blue, Johnny Lee, TG Sheppard, Shotgun Red, Bobby Vinton, Wes
Harrison, plus many more of the stars that made country music what it
is today, have new country cds releast now or anytime in the future,
and especially if the star is still alive and kicking, new country
radio should always, atleast give that star, what I call
the "Honorable Mention"! Let the country music world of fans know
that the legendary star is still living and he, or she just had a
brand new CD releast on our country market!
Is this too much to ask? Really!
Now on the other side of the coin, sort of speak, I have something to
say to our legendary stars, and it's this, If you do not inform the
new country radio stations that you have just releast a new CD, then
I can not blame the station for not giving you an "Honorable
Mention" ! You must inform the new country radio, by some means, of
your release! For I have recieved e-mail from some good hearted DJs
in new country radio that have not recieved any information of the
legendary stars and their new releases, and so how could they mention
it? Hank Thompson had a release a while back; "Hank Thompson &
Friends" , on "CURB-RECORDS" , and to this day, new country radio
had no idea this CD was released, and these DJs stated this fact in
their e-mails. So please! Country Legendary stars, let the radio
stations know of your releases now, and of any future releases as
well!
I think if we all cooperate on this issue, all will benefit, the
fans, the corporate country, all the radio stations that call
themselves country, the Legendary Stars, even the new young stars
(because they will be the legendary stars someday), and our COUNTRY
will be strong in every sense of the word, united and not segregated
like will have been!
All we ask is that corporate country should not just take, how about
giving a little? If you do, you will see a great benefit from giving
the "Honorable Mention"!
After all, what is old country asking for? Just a little respect,
that's all! "Honorable Mention"!

"True Country Professionals, Catch the wave!"
By Jimmy Stix
I hope someone who writes great country songs would make a song now
with this Title; "Stand By Your Legendary Stars" ................ by
all means! Have you ever heard the phrase; "Catch the wave!" gang?
AllAboutCountry.com as you know reported on the week of the 1-16-
07............ the below news reports of our Legendary stars fighting
Corporate Country! Well............ what are you waiting for!
Everyone should be putting the pressure on corporate country, and
with no let up, continue to call every radio station calling
themselves a COUNTRY station, and ask to hear the new country music
from our legendary stars! And when they say they can not play this
new country music......... ask them why? If you country music
professionals do not back up these great legendary stars
now........... while they are coming out in the open to fight for
their American Country Music Heritage Rights.............. then I
think you should stop calling yourself a lover of our COUNTRY
Heritage! Look below and see what's happening......................
Nancy Jones, Wife of George-Still Fighting Corporate Control of
Country
The Nashville Tennessean continues to report on the conversation
between Nancy Jones , wife of legendary George Jones, and Gerry House
of WSIX/Nashville.
The on air conversation took place in the middle of December, when
Jones called House on his WSIX morning show to talk about her
disappointment of corporate control in radio station ownership,
leading to less airplay for George and other Classic Country singers.
It was a very heated conversation. Get more from the Tennessean
Stonewall Jackson Sues Opry
A suite has been filed against Opry General Manager, Pete Fisher, and
the Opry's owner, Gaylord Entertainment, for $10 million by Stonewall
Jackson. He has been a Grand Ole Opry member for 50 years. Last
Thursday, (Jan 11) the 74 year old Jackson filed papers to sue the
Opry for age discrimination, breach of contract and retaliation
because the number of his appearances on the show declined
significantly after Pete was hired in 1998. According to the lawsuit,
Fisher wants to feature younger artists on the Opry and that Pete
told Jackson that he was too old and too Country. Steve Buchanan, VP
of media and entertainment at the Opry, told the Tennessean, "The
allegations of age discrimination are without merit, as evidenced by
our lineups in each and every show. The Opry strives to appeal to all
generations of fans". Stonewall Jackson became an Opry member in 1956
and later had several Top 10 hits, which include two #1's, Waterloo
in 1959 and B.J. the D.J. in 1963.
All country music lovers who want to see ALL country radio play
Bluegrass, Country classic, Country traditional, Country Folk,
Country Blues, and yes! Even the young stars of today mixed with the
legendary stars and their brand new music.................. as one
big happy family............. then don't let this move of the
legendary stars back-fire on them!
Did you read what was said about the radio stations threatening
George Jones and other legendary stars with less airplay if they
cause corporate country any negative pressure for their moves in
country! If that is not a true form of terrorism threat to our
COUNTRY friends............... nothing is!
Stonewall Jackson is fighting a mountain of corporate greed that has
no place in our treasured Heritage of country music! How can any
country star, young........ or old stand by and watch our legendary
stars get hit with such disrepect! Big Corporate Country
says; "business is business!" I say............. NOT in our country
it isn't! There's no room for segregated country in USA! Or for
that matter, the whole World of COUNTRY want you to go away! Go to
another style music and do your business! And GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!
If on the other hand, if corporate country would listen to reason!
And change their attitude about our legendary stars, and appreciate
country blues, country bluegrass, country folk, and other country
music styles................ by putting these on their
playlist.......... then we would welcome them to country! However!
They do not want to be fair, and to secure our Heritage, so all will
continue to benefit off their life's work!
Instead......... they want to retire the old stars...........
claiming country people don't want to hear them anymore! Which is
such a lie............ everyone in country knows it! Even the ones
who claim they agree with BIG corporate consultants about
this................ when corporate country isn't looking, they admit
they are wrong! They want to please both sides of this issue! You
can't please both sides for long folks! The other will find out
sooner or later!
I know you are tired of reading my articles............... and I get
tired of typing this issue! And if everyone in the country music
business would fight corporate country now, I would not have to type
about this issue again! I am so proud to see that the legendary stars
are not leaving our town without a fight! And that's why I'm shooting
out this message again! It's "Highnoon" Gang!........... and Big
Corporation Country is getting SHOT by, Jimmy Stix.............. "The
other man in black!".................The long-time country outlaw
who's fast with the draw! And I'm going to be standing in the middle
of this COUNTRY Town, alive!
Legendary stars! George and Nancy Jones! And Stonewall Jackson! May
God be with you, and may he deal fairly with those who are dealing
unfairly with you! My cowboy hat is off to you! And I tell you now,
I will not stop Shooting at Corporate Country until they either
change their direction to benefit all of us in
country................. or they Leave Town! You can count on me!

"These Stars Made Country Radio Great!"
By: Jimmy Stix
I know country radio must be still interested in these stars, right?
They made country radio what it is today! I know some of the stars
listed are relatives (Sons, Daughters, Sisters and Brothers) of the
SuperStars of yesterday, but, what runs in most families is the great
talent the superstars of Country Music have. Families played together
and sang great heart felt songs. They still do get together and jam!
Check this list out to see if you are playing their new or older
music............
Larry Gatlin, Gene Watson, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Freddy Fender,
George Jones, Merle haggard, Ed Bruce, Warner Mack, Freddy Powers,
Tommy Cash, Vern Gosdin, Leona Williams, Eddy Arnold, Bobby Bare, Al
Downing, Chester Smith, Tanya Tucker, Roy Clark, Moe Bandy, Mickey
Gilley, Jerry Reed, Joe Stafford, Charlie McCoy, Rex Allen Jr,
Stonewall Jackson, Ricky Van Shelton, Riders in the Sky, Johnny
Western, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jan Howard, Mitchell Torok, Larry
Cordle, Frankie Miller, Freddy Hart, Charlie Louvin, Narvel Felts,
Clinton Gregory, Jett Williams, Rustie Blue, Jack Greene, Marvin
Rainwater, John Conlee, Hank Thompson, Crystal Gayle, Tom T Hall,
Johnny Counterfit, Ray Price, David Frizzell, Norma Jean, Leroy Van
Dyke, Kitty Wells, Johnny Wright, Noel Haggard, Barbara Fairchild,
Doug Dugger (Chaplin of Country Music) Janie Fricke, Ernie Ashworth,
Ken Mellons, Bobby Wright, OJ Hanssen, Claude Gray, Micheal Twitty,
Robyn Young, Mel McDaniel, Frankie Miller, Norma Jean, Ernie Ashworth,
Lance Miller, Mayf Nutter, Jeannie Seely, Tribute to Floyd Tillman,
Tribute to Dave Kirby, Tribute to Dave Dudley, Tribute to Redd
Stewart, Coming soon Tommy Overstreet, Marty Stuart, Heather Myles,
Izak & West, Todd Tally, Wendell Crowley, Mike Bella, Al Brumley,
Jimmy Eaves, Rustie Blue, Johnny Lee, TG Sheppard, Shotgun Red, Bobby
Vinton, Wes Harrison, plus many more of the stars that made country
music what it is today!
Well? Are you? Why Not? These stars and other professional country
music kinfolk belong to the Country Legends Association and you could
join by going to; http://www.clalonestar.com/ .............
What happen to these stars, have they lost their talent? Are they
dead? Do they put out any new songs? Do they still go on tour? Do they
still have fans? Or are they dead too? Why is radio, the one's calling
themselves Country, ignoring these great stars of country music? Is
the new DJs wondering why they can't play this special new music of
country? Why is the BIG Business Media Corporations pushing off the
stars listed herein, and why are we, the people of USA allowing it to
happen?
Turning off the country music of these stars is a crime! It's American
Airwaves we are talking here folks! Big Corporation Media is telling
you, you don't want to hear these stars! Is that true? They say to
you, it's ok, we will give you what you want to hear!
Well...........if that's true, then why is it, that whenever I ask a
country music lover, young or older, face to face, nobody in country
tells me they only want to hear the new country music of todays stars!
Everyone wants to hear todays stars, and Yesterday's Stars listed above!!
Radio! Listen to me, the majority.......... that's right.........the
MAJORITY of country music lovers in this country do not listen to your
"Airwaves"............ Big Business Media, are you listening? You do
not have the majority of country music
people listening to your radio! And therefore you are losing a great
deal of listenership in all your so called demographics ............ a
term I might add, that was developed mostly to try and convince people
like me that what Big Business is doing with our country, was
justifiable. No consultant will ever convince me that their
professional moves with country music made radio better for our
country! This is why places like Calafornia, New York and other major
cities are losing the country format to others! Yes! There's other
reasons for this, but, this is one of the major reason's for the loss!
Please! everyone who agrees with me...........speak out! And those who
disagree with me, don't just e-mail me, that's easy to do, there's
nobody else reading your reasons for disagreeing with me, publish the
reasons! Or are you afraid that true country music lovers will flood
you with e-mails telling you you are wrong!
The stars listed herein, "These Stars Made Country Radio Great!" and
your country radio will not stay GREAT if you keep ignoring them!
Again! The have NEW country too! So play it!
Sincerely yours gang!

It's Here! THE 2005 Ohio Regional WWAC Convention Video!
Gunspinning, whip cracking, trick roping, knife throwing, and alot
more! If you've never been to the Annie Oakley Days festival in
Greenville, Ohio it's a growing midwest tribute to Annie and her
heritage. The festival enjoyed a 'rebirth' in 2003 with the first
Wild West Arts Club Ohio Regional Convention making its home there.
The video really shows what you're missing - it's great fun and
really presents these talented performers in their natural setting!
Names like John Bailey, Cowboy Larry & Brave Beth, Whip Cracking
champions Adam Winrich and Chris Camp, and youn gunspinner Stephanie
Price give a priceless performance for the Annie Oakley Days
attendees!
This amazing 2-disc DVD set is an amazing tribute to one of the
fastest growing western events in the US. This professional DVD was
produced by GLD Enterprises & Productions and Fishmonger Films.
Dan Trout, of Fishmonger FIlms, filmed the event, and developed
the 'look' of the video. This is the first of many videos to come
from the GLD / Fishmonger Production group. Gery and Dan worked hard
to capture the 'flavor' of the Annie Oakley Days Wild West Arts Club
Ohio Convention. The video is now available for sale and has an
incredible amount of material on it.
What's on the 2-Disc Set:
Disc 1 : Friday warm-ups, the AOD parade, highlights from the
competitions in whip cracking, rope spinning, and knife throwing,
and a special performance by teenage gunspinner Stephanie Price!
Disc 2 : The Awards Ceremony (including Ohio Regional WWAC lifetime
achievement award to WWAC legend Che Che Whitecloud), a Sunday
performance showcase, a blooper reel (featuring Chris Camp's
famous "hot seat' during his fire whip routine). and a downloadable
and printable still photo gallery compiled by the WWAC's Cathy
Williams.
Total Runtime : 143 Minutes Format : NTSC Color Region :
Region Free
Price of the 2-Disc Set is just $30.00! Visit the website to order
the video : http://www.gldenterprises.net/store.htm .
Proceeds go to the Ohio WWAC Regional Event Fund.
We would like to invite you to a new group, Blanche's Parlor, created

Well pards, I just got back in from Wharton Tx last night (65Mi S.W. of Houston) after performing/Emceeing at the 5'th annual Shanghai Cowboy Days festival, and it was a hoot!Cowboy Bob was there, along with texas Hoppy, Doc Blakely, My Texas Music , and many other great pickers/singers/gunslingers/etc. BTW, don't listen to Cowboy Bob if he claims not to be a very good Guitar picker, We jammed for quite a while and he's almost as good with a six string as he is with a whip.(and that's verrrry good indeed) Mark your calenders now for next years go round, or just pop in from time to time with the offishal website http://www.shanghaicowboys.com

We haven't had a post since Dec 5, 2004. Ol' Santa Claus has come
and gone wearing his cowboy boots since then. The new year has
begun and we are starting to have thoughts of spring popping in on
us soon. "Someday Soon, going with her some day soon." Hmmm,
sounds like a song I heard somewhere.

But lately, I've found myself performing more and more for younger audiences and the Clown inside just keeps coming out. So, with all these props lying around, I've added a Comical Cowboy character to my repertoire that consists of Cowboy & Kids songs on the Guitar & Kazoo along with some amazing feats of Magic. I call it my Wacky Wild West Show.
On a side note, while in search of resources via the Internet, I found a whole world of Cowboy Clowns, Comedy Western Performers and Children's Entertainers with Western themed acts. So, some other performers and myself have created a Group to help support the Comedy Western Arts called the "RED NOSE RANCH". RNR membership is open to anyone with a Comical,

I performed my Wacky Wild West Show last Saturday for over 100 screaming, dancing, boot stompin' Brownie Girl Scouts in two shows for the Kentuckiana Girl Scouts Festival of the Arts.
This event is spread out all over the city of Louisville, Ky at various locations and offers several performances by a variety of entertainers from musicians to magicians and clowns to other workshop events such as glass blowing and scrapbooking. The Troops choose which event they want to attend then are chosen by way of a lottery so the good shows don't fill up first.
My act consisted of .45 minutes (each performance) of music and magic with a Comedy twist. Things really kicked in when I performed the kids songs on my guitar & kazoo, and when I broke out the magic tricks,,,the room erupted.
Stickers and Coloring Pages were handed out to the kids and many asked if I'd come perform for their Troops, Birthdays, etc.
Had a Great time but I was one whooped Cowpoke when it was over.

Well, I always start with Cattle Call (a good yodel gets their
attention in a hurry!) I try to get a good mix of old and new, and
when I say old, I mean ones that were around in the late 1800's.
Of course I always throw in some Silver Screen tunes, Ridin down
the Canyon, Back in the Saddle (usually with Ranger Dougs yodel at
the end) My Rifle Pony and Me, sometimes High Noon, Ghost Riders, a
few Patriotic numbers Star Spangled Banner waving somewhere
(especially if there are any WWII era vets in the audience) Some
Gospel tunes,Cowboy style, Place where I Worship, Silver Spurs on
Golden Stairs, if I've got a band with me, I'll toss in a couple of
Bluegrass or Western Swing pieces just to keep it lively, and I end
with Texas Plains, sometimes a sing along with Happy Trails.
This is just a rough idea, as every show is diferent, and I change
the set list to best suit the group I'm playing for.
Thanks, Sam. I appreciate that. It sure was enjoyable.

I noticed at the Kentucky Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival that what few musicians they had, were all playing Traditional Cowboy songs and Traditional Country Music. Now, don't get me wrong here 'cause I love to stand out in a crowd, but I was the only one dressed like B- Western/Roy Rogers style and playing songs by Roy Rogers & Gene Autry. I feel as though I got the most response as it was different, yet songs folks grew up enjoying while watching Westerns as a child.
The same thing with Cowboy Action Shooting. When I go to the shoots, everybody is dressed similar either, a working Cowboy look or the
Tombstone Movie look (long black coat, etc.). I think we have Michael Martin Murphey (a wonderful performer BTW) to thank for bringing out the real-true Cowboy look but at times, I do wonder,,,Have folks forgotten the Silver Screen Cowboy???

I was reading your first message, and I thought that what you do is
really great for the kids. They need better stuff than what the TV
and Internet seem to provide any more. I most definitely approve of
what you are doing, and BTW, a great big Howdy!!! to everyone from
me.
