Attendees: Full-time and part-time musicians and bands interested in
learning how to pitch and present bluegrass concerts, programs, and
workshops in schools. Class size will be limited.

programs in schools. Sessions will include IBMA tools available to
musicians and bands, mini-grant information, tips from bluegrass
artists who have been successful in doing school presentations,
information on how to pitch bluegrass programs to schools, ideas for
local funding, live demonstration of a program for students, and Q&A
with a teacher who has brought in bands to perform at his school.

Benefits: Many professional bands have discovered that it can be very
profitable to include school programs into the mix of their
performance schedules.

o Fees for performing or doing a program
o Expand the artist's fan base and increase the opportunity
for future income
o Sell more products
o Get free publicity
o Jumping board to do additional revenue producing work
(e.g. private lessons, start a bluegrass club program, do workshops,
do additional performances, consulting, music camps, etc.)
