Good questions. Someone at the XL-7 yahoo user group might know if no
one here knows. A few years ago, a user here made a preliminary
conversion of the XL-7 presets for owners of the XL-1 ROM. I don't
know if anyone did the reverse.

However, one member of the XL-7 group user posted two files (for banks
1 and 2) described as "Unique XL-1 patches not duplicated in XL-7
ROM." That may be what you want.

I don't know if he did a byte by byte comparison or only a name
comparison to determine which ones weren't duplicates. I assume it is
the latter because (to the best of my knowledge) the XL-1 ROM has
presets designed for the 4-knob/12-controller box and the XL-7 ROM has
presets designed for the 16-knob/16-controller box.

Do you have the XL-7 ROM in an XL-1 box? If so, could you do a sysex
dump of each of the banks and post them in the files section here? I'd
be interested in comparing the two sets.
