Most school violins aren't too great, no offense to them, but I think that the
best violinists choose not to be in the orchestra if they have a choice. That's
what I would do if I had an orchestra, and I don't take general music (the only
music offered at my school) because it's just too easy. Though, it is nice
sometimes to support your school, and I have totally felt that way, and the
experience is also very important.

That probably was very confusing on what my view is, but I think that if you
enjoy your orchestra you should keep it up, and if it's too easy, take another
music course, or skip out of it alltogether. YOu probably have enough music to
do out of school, that your pretty much all set. And plus, you play the viola!
What could be better than that? :)
