What I've been doing this week music and interviews.   Message List

Hi Everyone

I know I've been quiet mainly due to Mum being seriously ill but in between times I've been putting together a myspace web page for my work and freelancing I am planning to start in the next month or so.

I am now writing for a web site called Bristol Rocks and getting some material together such as reviews, interviews and photos. Unfortunately none of it ABBA related as yet but somewhere down the line I will get in the odd the review or two plus interview because I also have input into the Tribute Bands section! I will be on the look out for tribute bands and artists to feature in the future when they play Bristol or the South West and South Wales. And that covers any group or artist. In fact The Glambusters are on my hit list soon.

Earlier this week I met up with Fred Wedlock a folk singer and entertainer who had a top ten hit in 1981 with a song called "The Oldest Swinger In Town". He was great to interview and the photos I took that day - one or two will be used for publicity purposes.

Today I also met The Wurzels who now have cult status. Another West Country band with strong roots. Interviewed Tommy and Pete, the mainstays of the group and they were great fun to chat too. Also ended up staying for their show (not planned) and they really got the crowd going. No sign of their popularity dipping ever again! So an unplanned review will be written for Bristol Rocks too. Also managed to take a couple photos of the guys on stage.

Have other interviews lined up with Mesh, Modesty Blaise, Nik Kershaw, Roger Greenaway and Bananarama are also in the pipeline so keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

Will let you know when my written work is on the Bristol Rocks web site and when I've finished my work myspace page will let you know the details too.

Just a quick mention as well, have a few items from the 70s through to end of 90s up for auction on ebay with a starting price of 0.99p. As I've archived most of my music collection, due to lack of space I'm now selling it. Alot of items end tomorrow (Sunday). By all means click on the following link:

Thats it for the time being. Have a great weekend one and all.
All the best
Kathryn
