Tchaikovsky melody   Message List

Back in the 1940's there was a song based on a Tschaikovsky melody, I
think from some chamber music - either a trio or string quartet. The
song was called "These Are the Things I Love". First line are:
The glow of sunset in a summer sky,
The golden flicker of a firefly
The gleam of lovelight in your loving eyes,
These are the things I love.

Can anyone help me on this?

The Things I Love in 1941 I think was the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra with Bob Eberle singing. I think Frank Sinatra did it too. Hope this helps....
