The Peninsula Symphony's 59th season is local and live, and continues
to excite Peninsula audiences. Led by Maestro Mitchell Sardou Klein,
the Peninsula Symphony's season starts with "Triple Play" featuring
the internationally acclaimed Eroica Trio in an evening with the best
of passionate and romantic music.
The Eroica Trio is known for their flawless technicality in performing
piano trio repertoire and contemporary work, and will perform with the
Symphony in what promises to be an exhilarating evening. After winning
the 1991 Naumburg award, the Eroica Trio performed their debut at the
Lincoln Center and has toured the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The program begins with Mendelssohn's expressive Hebrides Overture.
In Beethoven's groundbreaking Triple Concerto for violin, cello, and
piano, the Symphony is joined by the Eroica Trio. The evening
concludes with one of the landmarks of the romantic era, César
Franck's Symphony in D minor. This powerfully emotional symphony is a
favorite of audiences everywhere.
Don't miss Peninsula Symphony's "Triple Play" on Friday, October 19 at
the San Mateo Performing Arts Center and Saturday, October 20 at the
Flint Center in Cupertino, both at 8pm.
