This group is obviously about playing acoustic guitars, but we also enjoy discussing banjos, mandolins, autoharps, dulcimers, sitars (any acoustic, stringed instrument), and issues related to playing them.
We also welcome discussions about aspects of songwriting and performing -- however, this does not mean discussions that are fan-based types of discussions but rather discussions about how to better perform or write songs ourselves; the craft and the techniques of how to do these things.
Any comments about the operation of this forum are considered off topic and disruptive. If you have a comment or complaint, direct it to the moderator - personally - not to the group.
We support all levels of playing. If you are a beginner, don't be afraid to ask questions -- that's what we're here for! And if you are an experienced player, we welcome you to join in sharing your wonderful knowledge with the rest of us!
A Note On Group Policies:
If you have an article you want to share, as long as it has acoustic music content, even tangentially, you are welcome to post it-- however, if you have articles or ideas to post that are not related to acoustic music, even tangentially, please do not post them, nor post links to them.
This is a friendly and helpful group. We expect posts that are positive, encouraging, or contain constructive criticisms only. Negative comments should simply be kept to yourself -- anyone who conducts themselves in an inconsiderate manner or who becomes disruptive towards the group, is immediately put on moderated status and their membership becomes subject to possible termination.
