Hi folks --
There are A LOT of salsa yahoogroups out there already, so this is
not the place to post your purely salsa news. For instance, if you
are announcing a salsa festival, please specify which
classes/workshops you are offering that are specifically Afro-Cuban:
son, mambo, rumba, Orisha, timba, etc.

Otherwise, we will ask that you leave the group.

** What we ARE interested in are your stories -- from wherever you
live -- of any Afro-Cuban dance/music classes/teachers/events that
you are aware of. Are there any instructors you particularly like?
What were your favorite workshops? Have you taken classes/workshops
outside the U.S.? In Cuba? Europe? Other parts of Latin America? Are
you interested in a specific dance/music traditions -- like Makuta,
for instance? Let us know!

We also welcome any news/comments about other types of African
Diasporic dance/music -- from Brazil, Columbia, Uruguay, Haiti, etc.,
although our focus is of course Afro-Cuban.

Please share your experiences/thoughts/recommendations!

Corinna
