Hello. In the 4 months that I've been on this list, no none has said
a word. However, I have just found out some great news from
pitchforkmedia.com
----------
Will Bryant reports:
Aimee Mann will release her fourth solo album, Lost In Space, on
August 27th via her own SuperEgo Records imprint. The album follows
2000's one-two punch of Bachelor No. 2 (which Mann finally released
on her own after a bitter feud with Universal Music) and the left-
field smash Magnolia soundtrack, which greatly enhanced the profile
of the former Til Tuesday singer's tuneful solo work. Lost In Space
finds Mann once again working with a host of familiar faces including
guitarist Michael Lockwood, multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion (Elliott
Smith, Beck), Brion's onetime Grays bandmate Jason Falkner, and
Mann's husband, Michael Penn. Song titles include "Humpty
Dumpty," "Real Bad News," "High On Sunday 51," "The Moth,"
and "Lucy." Will Robinson could not be reached at press time, though
we suspect Dr. Smith may have slipped us a fake contact number.
Where's the 976 area code again?
Mann is currently on tour in Europe, with a U.S. tour scheduled to
follow closer to the album's release. Gee, I wonder if she'll
play "4th of July" in London. Tour dates:
06-28 Sweden - Skelleftea Festival
06-29 Denmark - Roskilde Festival
07-01 Dublin, Ireland - National Stadium
07-02 Edinburgh, Scotland - Liquid Rooms
07-03 Manchester, England - Manchester Academy
07-04 London, England - Astoria

This, of course, is wonderful news. I just don't understand why her
website hasn't mentioned the fact that she was even recording a new
album. It's so out of the blue. I had no idea of any new album, and
here it is, coming to us in 2 months. Well I'm very happy now. Hope
you all are too.
