Wow, given that the number of postings on this board are at an all-
time low, I feel it is my duty to contribute. I have nothing
important to say other than I love this band, and I will always hold
them in high regard. I remember reading a posting on the 'net
somewhere from a woman who bought "Moon Safari" on a whim one
afternoon, because the lovely cover artwork "seemed to describe the
mood [she] was in." There's just something about that album that
gives me this melancholy fake nostalgic feeling, a longing for a life
that I never lived, something beautiful that never existed.
The Virgin Suicides movie kind of articulates this feeling. The
score is all Air, though, their weird and fascinating way of
exploring the movie's themes in their own language. That's an album
for a tripped-out summer night.
