Naturally, I am very anxious for the new AIR album.... and cannot wait
to hear what tourdates will coincide with the release!
Meanwhile, am considering coming over for the The Arcade Fire concert
in Lille @ "L'Aeronef".
Can anyone please provide information?
What is the best (cheapest) way of travel from London, yet quickest?
I am considering the train, but wonder if specific airlines run
promotions that make it more worthwhile. More importantly, can
anyone please provide facts regarding the venue? Size? Layout
(reserved vs general admission)? Any info is much appreciated.
thank you in advance,

DARKEL STUDIO SESSION
One-night live in Paris
This is a unique live session by DARKEL in the intimate setting of his own
Parisian studio.
The very place his self-titled solo album released earlier this year took
shape.
This three-song special performance will bring you inside DARKEL's private
sphere;
Dunckel let the songs air out, like an ethereal little trip into darkness.
A darkness that gives way to a rainbow of tinkle-y-sounds without dropping
the melancholy of the voice.
The performance will be broadcast exclusively on the web at
www.myspace.com/misterdarkel from November 27th, 2006.
It will then be available as a Christmas audio/video single on the digital
stores on December 25!
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj9eTWtiafg&eurl=
Greetings Air fans,
Yay this is my first email to the group. Woo hoo :D
Has anyone seen the Utah commercial yet? The music sounds like Air but I'm not
quite sure, more like something from Premiere Symptomes.
Anyways, JB Dunkel has released a solo album under the alter ego of Darkel and
has a list of songs available online
http://www.dev-url.com/clients/darkel/build0001/flash.html
Take care and Godspeed.

There was one instrumental track by Air, from their album City
Reading, but I must admit I didn't notice it in the movie. However
Nicolas Gaudin appears on screen at a party in the gardens, smoking a
pipe, and then the next frame there is JB playing the keyboard indoor.

i've seen the movie : sofia coppola is my favorite director ! and she always
have wonderful soundtracks especially Air!!! Vigin suicides was a pure "chef
d'oeuvre" and there is one track in Lost in translation. I was really attentive
as I was seeing Marie-antoinette (a really good moovie indeed, a very typic
sofa' s way of shooting, like a succession of paintings with special ticks of
the light) but no Air anywhere !!!! I was a bit disapointed....

I haven't heard of any concert by Air lately, but on the 28th of
August, Charlotte Gainsbourg's next album (5:55) will be released:
produced by Nigel Godrich (producer of Radiohead, Beck, Air), with
lyrics by Jarvis Cocker (singer from Pulp) and music composed by Air!
I got my hands on one song of this album (ripped from a CD distributed
with the magazine Les Inrocks), it's beautiful and shows the talent of
all these different people!
Then on the 19th of September, a solo album by Jean-Benoît Dunckel is
to be released under the name Darkel. I cannot wait for that either!
I don't know if anyone has heard about a possible soundtrack album
from the movie Marie-Antoinette (where Air appeared in a short cameo)?
As for the next album, it won't be before next year IIRC.
Still, quite some excitement ahead in the next month! :-)
Anyway, enjoy Paris!
