Hello Alison,

I'm sure you will meet Janet at some time in the near future. Could you possibly
pass them to her, and she will in turn pass them on to me.

Many Thanks

My colleague and friend Monika Eady is involved in organising a fund raising
barn dance for Save Ealing Hospital campaign on Saturday June 1. The situation
is a bit complicated in that they have a caller who is not confident about
calling with a live band and plans to use recorded music all evening. Monika
thinks that a whole evening of recorded music will not be that great and wonders
if there are any public spirited musicians in the area who are free that evening
and could contribute some live music for a good cause.

If you can help, please contact Monika direct on 020 8567 5613 or email

Hi All,

Not everyone will be interested, so apologies for that, but there are people
here (particularly occasional callers) who could be interested who may not see
this another way.

Emily is part of a task force trying to make contra dance callers better at what
they do.  If you feel like helping out, please do; the more feedback they get
the less likely they are to waste their time.

Cheers,

Calling all contra
dance callers! The CDSS (Country Dance and Song Society) Contra Dance Task
Group wants to find out how CDSS can better support contra dance callers. We
encourage you to take our survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VFC5FK7 so
CDSS can hear your ideas, concerns, and questions directly. We will send you a
summary of the results if you provide us with your email address at the end of
the survey.

The survey is truly geared to contra callers of all experience levels from
brand new to retired, so the more information you give us about your calling
experiences, the better. We want to hear from as many of the hundreds of contra

I received a call from this lady's daughter, Carmella, this afternoon.
Apparently Margaret has relations dancing in Hammersmith and New Esperance.
Carmella called me to get in touch with Old Palace Clog, but it will not be
possible for them to travel to the Far West on a working day.

Can anyone help? Please contact me in the first instance and I will
coordinate it with Carmella. If nothing else I am prepared to go along and
play a few morris tunes, but hopefully we can communally give her some sort
of morris send off.

Hi Chris

Thank you for speaking with me earlier.

Here is some back ground information on my mum - Margaret Kelly. She was in
a ladies Morris dancing group called 'Homemade Pickle'.
I know she used to dance in Richmond, attend alot of Mayday festivals ,
Sidmouth etc travelling far and wide for Morris dancing events and was a
regular at Cecil Sharpe House. She was at her most happiest dancing,
unfortunately she had 'young on set' Parkinson disease which eventually
stopped her from dancing but she carried on playing folk music for a while
after. She played the piano, accordian, guitar and the recorder.

We would love to honour her by either having musician's who play either
Morris dancing music or folk music and to have lady Morris dancers for the
end of the service which would be fantastic. The service will be held at:

South West Middlesex Crematorium
Hounslow Road
Hanworth
TW13 5JH

The service will be on Friday 5th April at 15:40 to 16:10pm in the small
Jameson Chapel. There is a side door within the Chapel that leads to a nice
outside space suitable for dancing.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me on the number
below. Thank you for considering this. Hope to here from you soon.

Kind regards

Karen x

Karen x

Hope it goes well. Barry Goodman went down a storm at Godalming when we
had him with the Bursledons.

Sorry we can't be there but there is a rare opportunity to see the Dhol
Foundation in Guildford this Saturday!
