Here's part of the news round-up I'm working on writing...
Starting this month, Festival Distribution, Canada's premiere
distributor of folk, blues, jazz, world and roots music, will be
making available coast-to-coast Allison's first debut
album, "secrets".
The Festival team, under leader Jack Schuller, is responsible for
delivering the music of two-time Juno Award winner David Francey,
new soul sensation Ruthie Foster, east/west music-blender Harry Manx
and other artists of the highest caliber. And, in Canada, Festival
is the distributor for Ani DiFranco, "the little folk-singer who
could" ~ one of Alley's greatest inspirations.
As well as getting "secrets" to retail outlets anywhere in Canada,
Festival mails out music all over the world. In North America they
can be reached toll-free at 1-800-633-8282. You can check out their
site and secure web-store @ www.festival.bc.ca
This distribution deal is going to save us walking and driving,
many, many, miles and shall make it easier for everyone - not just
people here in Canuckland - to get "secrets". (Future albums will
also likely become available through Festival, but, today is enough
to think about!!)
How is everyone?! Alive and breathing?
