On the mainland of Canada, people call this Pacific coast, and where
Allison is at home on Vancouver Island - "the west coast". Now, on
the island of Newfoundland, off Canada's Atlantic shores, it's
almost a land unto itself - and they call the region where Allison
is home there, in Corner Brook - "the west coast".
Which all means Alley has to explain herself when she tells people
she's from the west coast - depending on where the telling happens!
You've prompted me to do a song count - and, there's 22 songs
already in the mix for "Aquarius Rising" or whatever becomes the
next "album" release. Maybe we're heading toward Quadrophenia ( :
And, indeed, a quick count of the repertoire on Allison's ABC list -
http://www.allisoncrowe.com/ABC.html - finds something like 97 songs
(originals and covers)!!
There's such a variety of music, too - and moods. From epics
like "Whether I'm Wrong", "Secrets", and "Disease" to the
playful "Skeletons and Spirits", "Midnight"... the
romantic "Montreal", "Crayon and Ink"... and so many others, there's
plenty from which to choose ( :
She's steady-on creating music!
