Coucou Jessy, Rob, everyone ( :
(that being Francais for hello!)
Since most everything Allison records is live - whether that be in
the studio or on a stage - whatever mix you put together will be
concert-like!
Allison tells me, Rob, you're asking about Toronto accommodations.
Alley stays with an Aunt when visiting that city, so, I've never
actually looked for hotels etc. in Toronto. When I do book things
for Allison, one of my first sites to reference is TripAdvisor.com
There you get people's reviews, and, you can get a sense of what's
available - then phone any places that sound promising to confirm
availability, prices etc. And, at the very least, there's a lot of
entertainment value you'll find. Some hilarious reviews get posted,
and, overall, you can get the flavour (sometimes odour) of things
pretty well.
For Toronto, it looks like hotels are high-priced, though, there are
a number under $100 a night (though, check the reviews, you may not
find value there!). Specialty places (eg. hostels and alternative
lodgings), or B&Bs can be the best best - though, again, check them
out carefully. Here's a sampling from TripAdvisor - of the good, the
bad, and the ugly:
