Wunderbar!!
A great weekend of music in the big city, and a view of the world
from a four-star hotel window. Sounds fun, indeed!!
Thanks for the word!
Used to be, Allison played only piano in performance. Though she's
long played guitar, bass and drums it's only a few seasons back, in
Dublin, Ireland, she picked up a guitar to perform an encore song or
two on it. Since then, guitar has become a set-within-a-set of her
concerts. As well, when she first moved to Newfoundland, she didn't
have a piano in her apartment. Thus, guitar became more prominent in
her songwriting, and is heard on her latest recordings. Now she has
a piano on both of Canada's coasts, the mix is piano-oriented once
more, but, guitar is here to stay.
Aye, it's a good drive from SJ to almost anywhere. Even Corner
Brook! Having done the overland trip between Toronto and the rock, I
wish Ian a pleasant journey. Hooray, too, for The Lever Pulled.
Just working out a return date for Allison at the Heliconian. Sorta
like Police Academy II... or not! A sequel, in any event!
keep cool y'all, Ad
