My apologies, guys...I accidentally sent this to the whole group
instead of just to Kari, now I feel like a spammer :( I didn't know
that she had posted to the whole group, I looked in my inbox and I
saw a message from Kari, but I didn't look at the return address, so
I thought I was just replying just to Kari, so I pressed "reply"
instead of typing in her e-mail address...my mistake
Yesssssssssss
After my first class I went to lunch because I didn't
want to be starving before my next class, so I missed
the first few songs too. I was upset that I missed
"All I Want Is More" because that's like one of my
fave RBF songs. You're right that Aaron really is a
lot shorter than he seems, Bobby and I were talking to
him before our next classes and he was shorter than
us, even though in pics he looks tall. And what was
with his sideburns?? I'm used to seeing them growing
just straight down instead of jutting out into his
face, hahaha. And yeah, I've known Bobby for a few
years, we've gone to a lot of ska/punk concerts
together. What was the deal with Dan? He looked like
a friggin hippie with his afro and clothes and all!!!
Haha. Tyler was pretty funny too. I don't know if
I'm going to the HG show next month because it's the
week after school gets out so I might be on vacation,
but if I'm in town I'll try to go. I'm sorry I was so
vague in my first post on the yahoo club about RBF
coming to town, but I didn't know if it was true or
not because the ad was printed during the week of
April Fools Day so I thought that maybe it was an
April Fools joke that they were coming, so I didn't
want to post "yeah, RBF is coming to Tech on Thursday,
everyone be there" and then have them not come, you
know? So I waited until I confirmed it before I
posted exactly where it was gonna be. Sorry for the
confusion ;) That was a freakin amazing show though.
It felt strange seeing the pics on your website of a
show that I just went to a couple of days ago,
especially on my own campus!! Thanks for taking the
pics, they're rad! Thanks again for the CD, that's
the first time I've heard Suburban Legends!

Yeeeaaahhh! Totally bitchin! Hahaha.
Here's the setlist that I heard (but you have to realize I was 6
songs late)...
Cheer Up
Boss DJ
You Don't Know
Valerie
S.R. with disco, country, blues, death metal, beat poetry, and emo
breakdowns
She Has a Girlfriend Now
The Kids Don't Like It
Beer
Take On Me
Sell Out
My pictures are online (yes, finally) at

So that's cool.
I thought I'd throw a line here... John, you should email me all the
time and go and see HOMEGROWN on May 10th! Coz your buddy Bobby's
gonna be there... lol I've been talking to him online for like a
year and I totally didn't know that you two were friends... till
before you came up to talk to us he was like, "Yeah, that's the John
that I know." Totally awesome. Hahaha.
I umm... wrote a lot about it in my blog... so go read that, lol.
http://www.superrad.blogspot.com
Very awesome show. Never disappoint.
Well, Lisa, you said that show reviews are a great read, so here goes!
Wow...what can I say...I went to my morning class...saw RBF on
campus...then went to my afternoon class! What a wacky day. The
Fish were fabulous, they were making jokes, some girl got onstage and
Aaron was like "Go over there until we finish our song" lol. They
played like five versions of "S.R.", they tried to play it in
different music forms like blues, country, death metal, emo, etc. It
was really funny! Someone was "crowd-surfing" in an inflated raft,
HAHA, and he kept falling down. The new trumpet player was really
funny, he was doing some sort of rap while Aaron was talking between
songs, and the whole band really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
They played a couple of new songs, they were really kickin'. After
the show I got to talk to Aaron a little bit, I mentioned some bands
that I would like to see tour with them and he was like "Man, why are
you mentioning all these bands that are about to break up?" LOL. I
love how after the show he ran away from the rest of the band and
started running down the street and back, what a crazy guy! I
seriously was afraid that the show was going to be rained out, but
luckily it wasn't. Kari from this Yahoo group was there, I finally
met her after exchanging several e-mails. Thanks for the CD! I
think that she wrote down the setlist, if anyone wants to know what
they played. I had a test after the show, but I really couldn't
concentrate after all that had happened today! Wow...
~John
Hey everyone...I just confirmed the information in my previous posts
with the Student Center Programs Council at my college, Georgia Tech,
that RBF is coming this Thursday the 11th for a free show!!!!!!
It's "Student Appreciation Day" so there's live music, free food,
games, etc. They're playing from approximately 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in
front of the Student Center, at the big fountain (right in the middle
of campus). You can park at the Student Center lot, it's $1 per
hour. The area where they're playing has "seating" built into the
hillside, but it will probably be full around lunchtime. There are a
lot of places around the area that you can stand and still have a
good view. I've never seen a free RBF show, nor an outdoor one, so
this is special. If anyone can make it that would be great (I've
already received e-mails from a couple of you in the Atlanta area).

You're the best, Lisa!

I found out from another list that I'm on that in the switch Yahoo
made from clubs to groups, they neglected to state that they took
the liberty to switch everyone's preferences back to the default.
What this means is that you might be getting a steady stream of
spam emails by now.
But wait! There's a relatively simple fix... log into Yahoo, then
click the link for "Account info" at the top of the page. There you
will see a link marked "Edit your marketing preferences." It will
be in the second group under the heading "Member Information."
Click that link; I'd recommend switching EVERYTHING from yes
to no.
"Damn the man, save the Empire"? --whatever, just cut down on
your spam

PS this message may look familiar if you are in my Wonderlove
Club/Group as well.

LOL, I was so excited about them coming that I forgot to introduce
myself on this board. I went to the RBF show last July in Atlanta
and then later I saw on the RBF website that there was a club on
Yahoo dedicated to helping fans find rides and find people to go with
to shows, so it was a little late to join then ;) The Crouching
Fish, Hidden Finger Tour really was rad, I love how they played with
the Rx Bandits and Home Grown, two of my fave bands. RBF is coming
to Atlanta again in August, and I'll definitely be at that show...I'm
going to the Home Grown show tonight, I missed them the last time
they came here, so basically I haven't seen them for two years, so
I'm really stoked about tonight!

I just read yesterday in my college's newspaper that RBF is
supposedly coming to Atlanta and playing at my college for free!!!
That would be the greatest thing ever! I hope it's not a belated
April Fools Day joke, that would be pretty crappy :( But maybe it's
legit, since SR-71 came to campus last semester, and Drivin n Cryin
came a few years ago. I haven't seen RBF since last July, and free
concerts are really rad. When Drivin n Cryin came they played in the
middle of a field, but when SR-71 came they played in the middle of a
huge fountain that is usually full of water but is drained
occasionally for certain events; it's funny seeing people sing and
play in the middle of a place that used to be covered with water!
RBF is supposedly going to be playing there on Thursday the 11th...

Hrmmm, I don't think I'll be making it to the RBF
show in Anaheim because I have to take my friend to
the airport (the same one I ALWAYS have to take to

Chain Reaction so that I don't miss Forces of Evil. But
even if I do, I'm going to stay until Digital Unicorn

don't really have too much to talk about. I was
planning on seeing the Fish 2 times last month but neither
one panned out. I was going to go to San Diego for
that show, but Lisa and I both decided to miss the
show to go to another one. I still can't believe we
did, but we had fun that night, right Lisa? Then I was
going to go to San Francisco to see them later that
week, but ended up getting sick, so that didn't happen
either. Needless to say, I'm excited to see them at the
HOB!

Anyway, as fascinating as I know this must be for all of

i posted all the upcoming shows - it's not neat
as it was before, when i did it in march (i was
really anal about it then!) but hey, at least the shows
are up. there is one unconfirmed show - i found
tickets for sale for it, but no confirmation from the
band at this point. there are a few more shows nearer
to thanksgiving that i've heard about, also, but i
want to wait till i get confirmation from the RBF camp
before posting more info.

i'm going to the four

Hey everyone! I'm planning on making the drive
from Southern CA up to San Francisco on Nov. 8 (a
Thursday night) to see their show on Nov. 9. Now keep in
mind I have a pretty small car (an Eclipse) and I can
only fit one more person comfortably, but I was
wondering if anyone else wants to make the journey with me.
I think I'm going either way, but I'd much rather
not make the trip alone. I promise I'm not a
psycho...just ask Lisa. Ok, maybe that's not the best source to
go to, since she's psycho herself. Ok, so I am a
little psycho in a good way! :) But yeah, I'm a nice
normal person, so if anyone's interested email me at
RBFfreak79@... and we'll see if we can't work something
out.

-->Amy<--
i agree with Yennie, i deffinately wouldnt lead
off with n e thing about Tavis, and i actually
wouldnt ask about y he left or the anything about that.
maybe if they just plan to replace him. i had an
interview with the guys, i dont think its their fave part
of the job, i mean, how many times do u wanna hear
"whats ur fave song on the album?". but they are cool
with it and answer the questions. dont ask matt about
napster!! he dont like it...guess thats all

*Jen*
The guys are cool and can be pretty professional
when doing interviews. They won't be surprised if you
ask them and they'll be prepared to answer your
question (because come on, they'll be expecting it). Just
be sure to be tactful when you ask the question and
you'll be fine. And I don't know about you, but I think
it's probably not a question you want to lead with...
Get them relaxed and comfortable talking to you
first, then ask them. I wouldn't be surprised if asking
it first got them all defensive (or at least the
certain band member I'm thinking of).

Good luck on
your interviews!

Yennie
I'm going to be doing my first interview with RBF
and Goldfinger on the same night, oh yeah and
Sugarcult but not at the same show as RBF and Goldfinger. I
just want to know is there anything that some of you
have run into in the past that i shouldn't know and/or
ask them. in the wake of what's happened with Tavis,
are the rest of the boys the type of people that
won't want to talk about it if i ask them a question
about what happened.

Ohh yeah.... is there

Hey guys, it's me here... I've been floating
around recently on some boards posting this... but since
I've been a member here I feel like I should make this
more... personal.

Please, take a part in letting
Tavis know how much we, as fans, care. If you haven't
already, sign his guesbook here
http://pub.alxnet.com/guestbook?id=2243625 . I'm working on him
actually getting to read
these, but I'm not so sure how reliable just a simple
email is at times like these.

Support is
growing. Join in and tell your friends.
I agree that this is something between Tavis and
the remaining members of the band, so I won't talk
too much about the situation, but I will say this:
although I was initially shocked to hear about him leaving
and am still very sad to see him go, I am also not
surprised it happened. Take that in which ever way you
wish, but I won't explain that any further, so please
don't ask.

Right now, I only wish to thank Tavis
for all these years of making people happy with his
music and hope that he continues to do so. I know that
we will all be talking for a while, feeling upset
and shocked, and that's okay, but I hope we don't do
or say anything to make this harder on the guys (I
know that's vague, but what else can I say?). While I
know we're all curious because we care so much about
the guys, I think in this situation, it will not be
good to pry for more info. While I mean no offense or
anything to the girl in Wisconsin who posted, I just think
that any added info to the situation than we already
have will only add to the rumors and the drama (as if
that post on their website wasn't dramatic
enough).

Let's just all wish Tavis luck.

Yennie
Son of a bitch! That sucks soooooooo hard! As
much as I would like to know who the second person
was, I understand that its thier issue and not yours.
This really totally sucks. I can't handle this less
than a month after Charlie quit Goldfinger. Damn it,
damn it, damn it!
