Huygen has been nominated for the Premios de la Musica, for
the category of Best Album. "Hydro" by Neuronium (Michel
Huygen) has been nominated for the category of Best
Innovative Music Album.

Originally from Norway, this multi instrumentalist moved to

progressive rock and synth-rock artist. He has since lived in
Yorkshire and has established himself as the new and fresh voice
in progressive, symphonic and electronic crossover music. His
music keeps the listener on tip-toes throughout, described by

In this CD Brannan Lane offers us a space voyage creating a
soundscape that takes the listener through the various layers of
the atmosphere surrounding our planet to the stellar paths, by
means of serene cosmic melodies intertwined with inharmonic sounds
with some ethnic touches and space electronic effects. The album
includes five pieces, each one divided into two parts, whose names
guide the imagination of the listener to a personal cosmic
adventure. Starting from the troposphere, the composer creates a
soundtrack between Ambient and Space Music, for an imaginary
voyage throughout Earth's Mesosphere, its Thermosphere, and
beyond. In all, 57:15 minutes of good music that will no doubt
appeal to the lovers of this musical genre..

solo compositions. The artist shows once again his mastery with
this instrument, while at the same time providing each track with

and perhaps a touch of improvisation, colored with pop, or jazz,
as well as reflecting his main influences received from such

KEN ELKINSON

This album is the result of a wonderful collaboration between
Michael Stearns and Ron Sunsinger. Created to honor Carlos
Castaneda, and his work, the music constitutes a perfect
soundtrack for the title of the CD (or rather "The Voyage of The
Sorcerer"), thus creating an aura of mystery, at times with dark,
disquieting soundscapes, at times with ethereal sounds that seem
to come from Beyond, all that using all the resources provided by
electronic technology together with what appears to be ethnic
touches, percussive rhythms and peculiar sound effects, so as to
create a world of sound almost cosmic in nature, and certainly
transcendental as well. In all, ten tracks that will not deceive
the followers of this musical genre.

MICHAEL STEARNS
Michael Stearns began as a guitarist in the sixties, playing in
rock and jazz bands. In 1968, he composed his first electronic
piece, while he was studying at university. After he completed his
musical studies, he opened a studio where he began to produce his
music together with jingles for the local radio and television
nets. After being a resident artist at the Emily Conrad's
Continuum Studio in 1975 and playing for two years in the free
jazz trio Alivity, he recorded his first album. Since then, he has
continued to release his own records, besides composing
soundtracks and collaborating in other productions.

JAMES JOHNSON:

This release by James Johnson consists of an only 66-minute track
of a unique nature within the purest style of Ambient Music. In an
almost imperceptible manner the listener is submerged within an
uninterrupted atmosphere of ethereal sounds, slow and relaxing,
creating an almost transparent world, full of peace, hinting at
unsuspected dreamy soundscapes, with a peculiar style almost
subliminal in its beauty. The music, soft, flows into an inspired
melody unfolding throughout the CD. No doubt this is a release
that will appeal to the lovers of this genre, in addition to being
a good means to induce relaxation, music therapy or simply to

In this album, recorded live in Lleida (Spain) on February, 25th.,
2000, Albert Giménez, an experienced musician with a masterful
creativity with the guitar and a solid career as a composer both
in the electronic and acoustic worlds, offers us a good work where
the processed guitar is the main star. The CD, mastered by
composer Dom F. Scab, well known for his work in the band At-
Mooss, also having a consolidated solo career of his own as well,
has an eminently experimental nature which makes it imposssible to
classify within any given label or genre, as it explores the
possibilities of sound in all its dimensions. This is a release
that will satisfy the lovers of musical experimentation in general
as well as the followers of Albert Giménez specifically.

ALBERT GIMÉNEZ
The composer and guitar player Albert Giménez, born in 1956, began
his musical career in the '70s. He was a member of the bands Suck
Electronic, Macromassa and Neuronium. In 1979 he turned from
electric to classical guitar, releasing during the following years
different records with his own compositions for soloist acoustic
guitar, and playing in numerous concert tours. In 1995 he returned
to electric guitar so as to continue his research in the new
electronic frontiers that this instrument has to offer.

VASCO MARTINS:
"APEIRON"

Recorded live in Cape Verde on December,1999, Vasco Martins draws
his inspiration from Greek philosopher Anaximander and his concept
of "Apeiron", that is, the Indefinite, so as to create a kind of
music that leads the listener to reach this basically abstract
idea, the essential entity of the world, that which conforms all
the matter in the universe. The eleven tracks included in the CD
display then, an ethereal air, experimental, cosmic, subtly
perceptible, inducing meditation and perhaps relaxation in a slow,
peaceful way. The music created by Vasco Martins in this CD is
therefore floating between the avantgarde, the experimentation of
sound, the transcendental, with touches of New Instrumental Music,
Ambient and Space Music, and will no doubt please a wide audience.
