Iury Lech is a composer, movie maker and writer. He usually joins
all these aspects in his artistic works. Born in 1958 in an
immigrant family from Ukraine, he began his artistic career by the
mid 1970s. By the late '80s he began to release his albums.

"A BITE IN THE COMMON SENSE"
This album of thirteen pieces of varied styles, some of them very
innovative, independent from the most usual frameworks in
electronic music. Rhythm has a pervasive presence, be it in itself
as such or supporting the melody on its own. Quite passages turn
out to be cosmic. A certain symphonic classicism can be perceived
throughout most of the work.

"SERIAL CASTRATI"
The music contained in this album has a very personal, innovative
style. Some of the pieces possess a certain cosmic character,
others approach minimalism, but no known label could be applied to
it. Perhaps a new definition should be coined: "Computer ethnic
music". The most avantgarde pieces are like urban folk music of
the future.

"ASPERSIONS BY INSTINCT"
This album is a provocative shaped double CD where the
synthesizers and percussion have a basic role. The music goes
beyond the conventional, surpassing even the frontiers of many
styles (Ambient, Trance, Dark, Psychedelic, Space) that already
are avantgarde by themselves. On the whole, the work is like a
collection of dreams or nightmares turned into music.

Beats" (Berlin, 10th June 1999) The CD "Drei" contains these
recordings by Bernd Braun, Bas Broekhuis, Detlef Keller and Mario
Schonwalder: "Come and taste the band Part Two" (Cologne, March
1999), "Bologna parte uno" (Bologna, April 2000) The music takes
us to a imaginary voyage towards fascinating places and ages. Some
pieces are slow, and others have lively sequencer-based rhythms.
This 3 CD set is a very commendable addition to the collection of
the fans of Space Music as well as genres connected to this one.

This 10 CD box by Klaus Schulze is defined as a collection of
contemporany works by him. The peculiar style of Schulze's can be
perceived in its varied facets throughout this collection. Schulze
explores numerous musical terrains, from Pop to Classical music,
passing through Space, Trance, New Instrumental Music, World
Music, and many others. Each piece includes several different
parts, each one of which is close to some given style of the ones
mentioned above. Some themes are slow, but others turn out to
have a quite energetic rhythm. The rhythmic structure of the music
tends to be based on the sequencers as a general rule, as well as
on the percussion typical of pop. Some pieces are purely
instrumental, whereas others include voice. Several passages are
cold, mysterious. Others turn out to be warm, emotional. There are
some parts entirely devoted to experimentation. Others show
rhythmic structures apt for dancing. Some passages are ideal to
let imagination soar through unearthly worlds. A certain nostalgic
air is present in most of the compositions. Accompanying Schulze,
the following artists participated: Julia Messenger (lyrics),
Thomas Kagerman (flute, vocals, violin), Jorg Schaaf
(electronics), Solar Moon System, O'Finken (guitar), Razoof

The German composer Klaus Schulze, a pioneer of electronic music,
began his career in the late 1960s. He was a member of several
bands, among them Tangerine Dream and Ashra Tempel. In 1972 he

The 12 pieces that integrate this CD are treks towards the
unknown. All of them possess a decidedly mysterious, enigmatic
character, like soundtracks for nocturnal walks in subterranean
places. Thera is the Greek word for fear. Therefore, the whole
release shows an obvious ghostly character. More than concrete
melodies in the traditional sense, there are chords and echoes
that come and go.
