This album of electronic instrumentals by UK composer/guitarist John Ellis is
inspired by the Japanese Tea ceremony.

A few copies are still available from www.chanoyurecords.com.

REVIEWS:

"I know very little about Japanese music or its influences, and on hearing the
sound clips,I am immediately drawn in and I want to buy it. I like that each
track brings something new and refreshing, evoking different landscapes in my
mind's eye." Mohini Chatlani, Yoga teacher.

"While these compositions excellently capture a Far Eastern mood, Ellis'
approach seasons the tunes with a bewitching bounciness that never becomes too
intrusive. A sense of sobriety is established, them tempered with a sly mirth."

Greetings All,

** Aural Hypnox News (16.11.2009)

Out Now: Halo Manash 'Taiwaskivi', CD + DVD [AH12]

As winter hibernation and spring awakening gives way to summer, Halo
Manash rises radiant into luminosity, with wings spread into all worlds,
and brings forth Taiwaskivi, an opulent work of solar ambience and
primordial Ur-music.

Taiwaskivi, a work of sonic flame and aural ash, consists of seven
interrelated tracks, utilizing such diverse instrumentation as organ,
horns, vocals, drums, gongs, percussions and various string instruments
as well as field-recordings captured during the pilgrimage that the
creation of the work embodies.

An air of finality abounds, as Taiwaskivi, although a complete work in
itself, can also be viewed as the third and final facet of a tripartite
series of works that are part of one holistic creation – a treelogy,
with seed, root, trunk and finally, branches. Being the culmination of
an ascending journey through the aforementioned realms within and
without, Taiwaskivi is the celestial crown at the peak, reaching toward
Sol, source and beyond; it is the leaves and fruit of the branches and
their skybound nectar ever-flowing - the sacred fire, the consummation
and conjunction of All.

Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet.

Two different editions are available; regular CD edition and CD + DVD
with inserts. Both are limited to 500 copies.

This will be my only "promo post" on the subject.

My late bandmate Greg Amov's 3rd solo album is now available for
free download in VBR/HQ MP3 format. Extensive notes about the CD,
the process of its creation, and how to burn it to CD-R are now on
Mike Dickson's website. Complete artwork jpegs for cover, tray and
rom label will be added later today for you to use to create the
complete CD package, if you so desire. If not, just grab the MP3s
and stick them on your personal player.

<http://www.mikedickson.org.uk/noblegases>

Other Greg material will come out in 2010 and 2011, and maybe
beyond. I will space it out so it all doesn't get dumped at once,
and allow for each release to have some focus, attention and legs
of its own. I'll start with that which is the most complete and
ready to go, working through that which might require fixing and
patching to some very old material that does require restoration.
But anything I do will be done as unobtrusively as possible with
"how would Greg have approached this?" in mind.

Feel free to download and give away the albums in MP3. Right now
we'd simply like Greg's music to be heard.

Non-free print on-demand CD-R for all three of Greg's solo albums
will be available at CD Baby before the end of the year.

Non-free Ogg Vorbis and FLAC format downloads will be available
at www.mindawn.com before the end of the month.

Greeting list mates,

My apologies for all the promo spam. It seems that Yahoo may not be
spam filtering the way I thought. But when a message goes instantly
through to some Yahoogroup lists and not to others, I was fooled into
thinking spam filters were at play. Instead, it turns out that either
Yahoo is slower at getting/retransmitting messages from some lists or
there is some moderating going on of which I am unaware. Whatever the
reason, I apologize for all the duplicate messages I've posted on this
list last Saturday.

Cheers,

Bill

New Kwisp Track, recently released on the Compilation, Audio Odditions # 3.

The song's name is Twilight of the Sonic Ballerina, it can be found at the
BOTTOM of this page-

http://www.hologlyphics.com/kwisp_music.htm

Kwisp is a San Francisco based musical group, featuring members of the legendary
Fifty Foot Hose. Their instrumentation is unique, most of it built by the band
itself. Their first album, Teriyaki Vest Odyssey, merged Elf songs, free jazz,
Dada, Δϑ ±µÇ and Tantric Appalachian Pygmy Music.

Kwisp currently has two released recordings, Teriyaki Vest Odyssey, and Altered
States of Alien Kwisp.

Fifty Foot Hose founder, Cork Marcheschi was a guest on Teriyaki Vest Odyssey
for one song. Kwisp's second album, Altered States of Alien Kwisp is a musical
collaboration between Kwisp and Daevid Allen from the band Gong.

Mike Dickson is hosting the MP3s for both of Greg's OOP solo albums,
"The Dark Within The Dark" (Independent Rcords, 2001) and "Gecko
Highway" (Independent Records, 2005).

Until such time as I get these albums back into print, and organize
his remaining output into releasable product, these pages will serve
as a way for people to hear his music.

I will get his latest solo album "The Noble Gases" out the door over
the weekend.

"The Dark Within The Dark":

"Gecko Highway":

Feel free to download and give away. Right now we'd simply like Greg's
music to be heard.

Gregory Michael Amov, b. Nov 6th 1959, d. Nov 3rd 2009. RIP
