Dear Editor ,

We were so shocked to see that mr. Dick Cheney, as a Vice
President of the United States, used "scare" tactics to press
American voters to vote for him by saying that voting for Kerry
would make the nation vulnerable to another "terrorist attack".
While shocking, we wonder does Mr. Cheney really care
about Americans' lives ?

While we commemorate 9-11 victims for nearly 2800 people
who died in a horrific terrorist attacks, however , there is another
issue which is more atrocious than the 9-11 .

According to a recent American Heart Association publication
"Heart Facts 2004 : All Americans" :
" Cardiovascular diseases rank as America's No. 1 Killer,
claiming the lives of nearly 39 percent of more than 2.4 million
Americans who die each year. Cancer follows , killing 23 percent.
All other causes of death account for about 38 percent. "

" 64.4 Million Americans have some form of cardiovascular
disease (CVD). This includes diseases of the heart, stroke, high
blood pressure, congestive heart failure, congenital cardiovascular
defects, hardening of the arteries and other diseases of the
circulartory system. ....
American will pay about $ 368 billion in 2004 for CVD-related
medical costs and disability. "

It is said that there could be far more than 45 million Americans
who have no health insurance at all. This should be the biggest
Crisis our nation is facing in day to day living.
We ask all US media and experts to make a thorough investigation
and provide more coverage on this most serious topic. This must
be one of the key topics to be compared, scrutinized before Nov. 2.

But why are there are so many Americans that can not afford
Health insurance ? Has our government done enough to protect
the Health of 300 million Americans ? Wasn't our National Budget
supposed to allocate the biggest part to protect citizen's Health ?

THE MIS-ALLOCATED AMERICAN BUDGET :

As it indicated above each year Health care expenditure is a pitiful
6 % and the trend is going lower while Military budget is over 50 %.
All of the above charts showed clearly that Defense Budget steals
from Americans Health Care. And the military budget is going higher
each year. In other words, our national budget priority is to sacrifice
300 million Americans Health Care in order to fatten the Military
so that Pentagon could develop all kinds of malicious evil weapons
to bomb hundreds of thousands innocent citizens to death.(* without
any punishment from the United Nations.). Our soldiers are occupying
every corner of the World.

The US military spending has reached an Un-believable level.
In 2004, America's Military Budget is equal to the combination of the
next 21 biggest military spending countries -- Russia, Japan , India,
United Kingdom, France , Germany, China, Saudi Arabia , Italy ,
South Korea , Brazil , Taiwan , Israel , Spain , Australia , Canada ,
Netherlands , Turkey , Mexico , Kuwait , Ukraine .

Our Congress and our President are completely ignoring citizens'
plea to allocate more budget for millions of Americans Health .
The Republican Congress and Republican President, directed
by the Neo-Cons, are sadistically, frantically wanting to make
America become a "Super-Super" Militarized country in the universe.
They have no concern for 300 million Americans' Health Care
whatsoever ! They ignored the fact that the Cold War had long gone.
They ignored the source of the budget comes from the American
people. President Bush even proposed 54 % of the budget will go
to Military in 2005, the highest ever in the history of the US and World.

Now, before the Presidential Election, we, as voters, again would
like to ask our Congress and our future Presidents to make American
Health and American Military to be equally important in our national
budget allocation. In other words, if military spending is 30 %
of the budget, then 300 million Americans' Health deserves
no less than 30 % of the national budget too.

Because the biggest scale of Terror, Grief and Death to our
country is not a few terrorists attacks, it is the massive scale of
"lack of health protection" on every American. Let's get our
National Priorities straight now. Thanks.
