The US Congress is trying to impose a Fanatic, Unfair
Punishment against China on her imports. As Voters and

1: We OPPOSE our Congress imposing any Tariff on

Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.,
introduced an amendment to slap a 27.5% tariff on Chinese
Imports if China doesn't revalue its currency within 180 days.
According to an important Chinese study :
".... whether China revalues its currency or not will not be
helpful for the United States to solve its financial and trade deficit
problems. This is because the deficit is rooted in the structure of
the United States, that is, the imbalance between Savings and
Investment." Instead, China urged "The United States should
look more into Domestic means to restore its economic balance."

working on a Plan for a more Flexible Exchange Rate . While China
is making remarkable efforts on the issue, we do believe that any

on the Chinese Textile Imports. Several Decades of an Unfair
"Quota" system has stripped millions Consumers and well
being while fattening a few expensive domestic manufacturers.
That finally stopped on January 1, 2005. Now, we hope we
are Free to buy many affordable Textile products.
The US textile manufacturing and many Anti-China Congress
members is threatening our Government to force it to put a big
Limit on Chinese imports and that is Directly Attacking Millions
of AMERICAN CONSUMERS' Well Being.
If our Government is really "elected" by the People, then

Approve the Astronomical Defense budget which is equivalent to
the combining Defense Budgets of the next Largest 25 Countries.
We mourn that our Government are controlled by the Fanatic
Neo-Cons who take the Entire World as their Potential Enemy.

Daniel Griswold, Director, Center for Trade Policy Studies,
Cato Institute stated : " Evidence from the past 25 years directly
contradicts the assumption that trade deficits impose a drag on the
U.S. economy. Contrary to prevailing assumptions, "worsening"
trade deficits are associated with faster GDP and manufacturing
growth and more rapidly declining unemployment, while "improving"
trade deficits are associated with slower GDP and manufacturing

TRADE FIGURE IS CONFUSING and MEANINGLESS :
Some reports said among all the China's exports , just
about 2/3 of all "Made in China" are reported as the exports from
"MULTI-NATIONAL COMPANIES" who have made investments
in China. Therefore, to limit Chinese export is actually to limit
numerous American company's own products produced in China.
A "Simple" "Trade Deficit" or "Trade Surplus" can No Longer
Reflect the True Figure in the Bi-Lateral Trade !
"Although China has a surplus in trade with the United States,
China has a Deficit in its trade with Asian countries,"

"MADE IN CHINA" BENEFITS AMERICA'S ECONOMY :
Thousands of multi-national companies choose China to produce
their products is because they can make more Profits this way.
When they make more profits, their Stock's Value back home
would Rise . When many companies Stock's Value Rise, it
would benefit the entire country's Economy and increase
Employment and raise country's GDP too.
Therefore, "Made in China" affordable products are actually
helping America's Economy tremendously. However, those
Neo-Con types of US Congressional members and some
wealthy Labor Union leaders and some of their connected US
media are using every way they can to Punish China and US
Consumers. In other words, American "CONSUMERS"
WELL BEING is Threatened by the fanatic US hard-line
Politicians and wealthy Labor Union leaders.

UNEMPLOYMENT and PRODUCTIVITY :
America has one of the Highest Productivities in the World.
However, the side effect of that is to bring Employment Down.
Powerful Machines and Smart Computers replace the large
number of workers and Produce More Products. Last year
a research article in usnews.com said :
"A 1 percent ( 1 %) increase in PRODUCTIVITY eliminates the
need for about 1.3 million jobs. Of the 2.7 million jobs lost over the
past three years, a million were lost within 90 days after 9/11, and
only 300,000 resulted from outsourcing. In 1990, America had
169,000 steelworkers. Eleven years later, that number had been
cut nearly in half--but those workers produced 17 percent more steel. "
" We lost 11 percent of our manufacturing jobs; the Japanese
lost 15 percent; Brazil lost 20 percent. Even China lost 15 percent.
Why ? HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY".

CONCLUSION : Again, we urge our Government to Discard
Any and All Punishing Tariffs against China. What our Government
should do is to Greatly EXPORT our Most Advantageous Products ,
i.e. HIGH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS. That helps to balance
the Trade Deficit and Employment instead of Restricting or
Suppressing Chinese mostly "Labor" intensive "products".
We also urge our Government to respectably Approve China
as a "Market Economy" .
We urge our Government to Stop Depriving Millions of
AMERICAN CONSUMERS' ( VOTERS') Rights & Well Being.
