Subject: WHAT WILL SAVE THE WORLD ?


Dear Mr. President ,

In light of some criticisms of our president lately, however,
we, as America's Citizens and Voters, do praise our President's
second term as being a little more moderate and a little more
independent thinking comparing to the first term.

However, we are still concerned that there seems to still be
many Neo-Cons continuing to surround our President and
try all kinds of tactics to unduly influence our President.

We now would like to make our following five humble
requests to our President and our Congress :

1: We do praise and appreciate our President's efforts to
stop the terrorists. However, we must remind our leaders that
terrorism may not be stopped as long as America's Foreign
Policy continues to be in the hands of Neo-Cons who impose
their hegemony, unfairness, suppression and arrogance on the
world. Hatred may only raise more hatred. Only Fairness,
Respect, and Dignity will eventually eliminate terrorism in
the world despite different political and religious beliefs.

2: Please do not interfere with, sabotage or destabilize
any other soverign country. Please discard the cold war
mentality towards others. We can be a "Superpower",
but we do not have to use "Hegemony".
Only friendship and respecting others are the most
important keys to keep Peace in this world.
Also, please stop America's double standard "democracy"
and "human rights". It seems that America itself does not
abide by the rules of democracy and human rights standards,
so how could we demand that of others ? For example :
just about a week ago, our government arrested hundreds of
peaceful anti-war protesters. They were using the right of
free speech. Our Pentagon appears to continue their policy
of beating, torturing and killing detainees, not to mention
frequent bombing of thousands of thousands of foreign
innocent citizens to death. This may be the worst violation
of Human Rights under the Neo-Cons' direction that the
world has seen in a decade.

3: Very Importantly, the "Nuclear Apartheid" does Not Help
Peace in the world. On the contrary, the IAEA may give the
Neo-Cons' a convenient tool to wage wars against any soverign
country. The Apartheid will truly break the Peace in the world.
Also, it is unfair that IAEA totally ignore Japan's astronomical
nuclear power which has the most of the weapon grade
plutonium in the world. This is especially dangerous while
Japanese right wing extremists are in the process to eliminate
its pacifism and revive its "militarism" and "fascism". Japan is
not a member of any type of non-proliferation treaty.

4: We ask our government to demand that America's weapons
manufacturers reduce weapons production. Please encourage
and re-direct them to play a more peaceful and constructive
role instead of exclusively making weapons to kill others.
For example: due to global warming, hurricane, earthquakes,
those companies have the ability to produce more tools
and generate emergency facilities to rescue people from big
disasters like Hurricane Katrina etc, or develop more weather
intelligence and stations which can be used in the world.
Now, due to global warming, there is a great demand for
such weather tools in the entire world. This should
also increase our exports to the rest of the world too.

6: We urge our government to greatly reduce foreign military
bases around the globe, not only to save costs but also to
give other countries more space to breathe.
"We've lost focus on where we're supposed to be going and
are not able to respond to the crises that affect the people of this
country," "We're mired in a Middle Eastern adventure and we've
taken the focus off of our own country." said David Ernest, a
Republican from San Ramon, Calif., who commented on our
government's response to Hurricane Katrina.

We urge our President to have more courage, wisdom
and an independent mind to face the challenges. For the
world's peace, humanity and prosperity, please remove
all of the Neo-Cons and ideological extremists from
our government for good.

We appreciate your patience and efforts toward peace and we
deeply apologize if our peaceful pleas and views offend any one.
