hello all,

DiN30 - iNDEX03
Release date September 27th 2008

iNDEX03 is the third DiN compilation album and includes two tracks each from the
titles DiN21 - 29. The artists include Robert Rich, Ian Boddy, Tetsu Inoue,
Radio Massacre International, Surface 10, Parallel Worlds,
Hoffmann-Hoock/Wöstheinrich & ARC.

As with the previous two DiN compilation albums, iNDEX01 (DiN10) and iNDEX02
(DiN20), DiN label boss Ian Boddy has mixed and cross-faded the 18 pieces into a
continuous ambient mix that not only showcases the albums on the disc but
presents an exciting and varied album in it's own right. It also highlights the
varied and intruiging music that the DiN label conjures up on it's releases from
deep analogue synth grooves through glitchy, digital soundscapes to powerful,
epic ambient atmospheres. An intoxicating mix of the old and new beautifully
presented in a slimline cardboard wallet with an extra front flap which just
adds to the value and collectability of this disc.

iNDEX03 wil sell for the budget price of $10 from the DiN web site and as such
is a wonderful introduction to the music of the DiN catalogue.

Tracks :
01) B2 Gigacosm - Surface 10 - Surface Tensions DiN24
02) Foundry - Ian Boddy - Elemental DiN25
03) Geode - Robert Rich & Ian Boddy - DiN21
04) Particular Moments - Tetsu Inoue - Yolo - DiN22
05) Conundrum - Hoffmann-Hoock & Wöstheinrich - Conundrum DiN27
06) Slow Hand - Robert Rich & Ian Boddy - React DiN29
07) The First Cry . . . - Radio Massacre International - Septentrional DiN23
08) Rapture - ARC - Fracture DiN28
09) Beneath Fear - Parallel Worlds - Obsessive Surrealism DiN26
10) Veiled - Robert Rich & Ian Boddy - React DiN29
11) Trident - Radio Massacre International - Septentrional DiN23
12) Distracted - Parallel Worlds - Obsessive Surrealism DiN26
13) Dawn/Bleep/Dusk - Surface 10 - Surface Tensions DiN24
14) Tane - Tetsu Inoue - Yolo DiN22
15) Lithosphere - Robert Rich & Ian Boddy - Lithosphere DiN21
16) Phased Realities - Hoffmann-Hoock & Wöstheinrich - Conundrum DiN27
17) Fracture - ARC - Fracture DiN28
18) Elemental - Ian Boddy - Elemental DiN25

Total running time : 73:54

Currently in development is the Pod expander, which may combine a mix of
circuitry from
Andy and the AS range. It's too early to be definitive, but expect an extra VCO,
multi-
mode VCF, ring modulator and other goodies, again with a preset signal path, but
patchable to itself and Spawn, creating a flexible two-VCO/ two-VCF/two-EG synth
with
MIDI control.

hello,

for sale the following: (all in fine working and cosmetic condition): (price is
70% of new)

A188-1 1024 stages (old version front panel, 100% functionaly identical to
second version, for graphics of the panel, see the sketch at the bottom of this
page: http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/a188-1/ price: 129.5 USD

the ONLY difference of version one from the current version of the A188-1, is
this:
"For the BBD circuits with 128 and 4096 stages the first version of the A-188-1
cannot be used without modifications (additional electronic parts and wires,
interrupted pcb tracks). The revised version of the module is delivered since
about June 2006 and contains several jumpers to select the desired BBD circuit.
If desired we are able to modify the first version of the module for the BBD
with 4096 or 128 stages."
that means that you cannot replace the bbd chip of the 1024 stages, with a bbd
chip of 128 or 4096 stages, without some modifications needed to be made in the
module...

A196 PLL phase locked loop module (with blue led for free) price: 69.3 USD

A170 Dual Slew Limiter (with blue leds for free) price: 56 USD

A125 VC Phaser price: 77 USD

A179 Light to CV (with blue leds for free!) price: 63 USD (i'll also include a
custom made small LDR box, made by my tech, to control the a179 from a small
distance)

will include screws and ribbon cable.

Paypal payment only.

shipping 10 USD to anywhere. if you buy all 5 modules you still only pay 10 USD!

add 4% for paypal fees.

thanks,
Bakis.

Thanks, Monroe. Ya, I checked that page. I can only find one example.which
only shows slight phasing. I'd love to be able to hear it sputtering around
its max delay time! Thanks again for the heads up.

You need to buy an adapter to plug it into a Doepfer chassis. You can
get that from Analogue Haven or Big City Music if you are in the US.

They can but the plugs for the power are different, so if you get a
Doepfer case you need to get adaptors for any Asys modules, or get an
Analogue Systems case which has some connections for both.

besides the Tyme Sefari and AS's Delay/Sampler, are there any dedicated
digital delays for modulars? i know Plan B was planning model 27 but i
don't think that's in the works anymore.

Are there any analogue delays out there that are longer than 4096
stages? Seems like there is a real lack of delays in the modular world!

There is the rs390 digital echo module, but the delay time is max of 3
seconds. The rs290 is much more powerful though. Doepfer has a less
fully featured but cheaper version of the rs290, which is the a112
sampler.

Tip Top Audio has a multi-function digital effects eurorack module
which includes delay. It's pretty reasonably priced:
http://www.analoguehaven.com/tiptopaudio/z5000/

Personally, I use the built in digital delay in my Behringer K450FX
amp. In my setup, it's only post-modular processing, though it could
be usefully fed back through with another amp. It was a good deal to
get all those effects plus a decent amp in one package, and I haven't
yet found a particular need to process the affected signal further.

Hey all,

I just successfully completed an easy modification of the French
Connection to enable better staccato with the button, as seen in this
demonstration of an Ondes Martenot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy9UBjrUjwo

As it is sold, the button will make a strong percussive sound if
released very quickly or tapped, reverberating through the chamber of
the controller. But if you appropriately cut some strips of
polyurethane foam and place them in the sides of the button, this
sound will be extremely dampened, and it will no longer interfere
heavily with the sound of staccato notes. No glue is necessary if the
pieces are cut to fit, as they can sit in between some side panels of
the button casing and not move about. But gluing probably wouldn't
hurt if you want to make sure its stable.

Cheers,
Monroe
