One more note: It would be great to have more files for downloading. Andrea
put a number of pieces in Grade 6 file but the others are mostly empty. I don't
have an operational scanner right now. If I can get half a day with someone's
scanner, I would put up some core pieces for 1-8. If we all TRY to find time to
do this, we would have a rich resource bank. Even better would be comments on
how the song or activity is brought in an imaginative way!

Perhaps Jason or Bianca could put out the simple instructions for uploading so
everyone is sure of themselves! By the way, I haven't been able to download
Andrea's curriculum guide, even though I have Adobe Reader. Any hints?

Anyway, I can upload pieces I have on Finale. Has anyone tried to download the
Finale pieces? It would be good to know if it is working for you. I understand
that there is a free version available from MakeMusic website. If you download
an orchestral score and can't extract parts, then let me know so I can upload
the parts as well.

Also, speaking of Finale, you can find lots of free repertoire on Classical
Music Archives in midi form, which you can right click "save link as" and create
a Finale file. It works about half the time. Then you can revise and arrange,
etc. for your ensembles. If you want coaching on this, I can talk you through

Our conference was fabulous and those of you who were not able to
attend missed a great time with Thomas Adam and all the other
wonderful folks who participated.

We only held one ANAWME meeting this year due to the fact that there
were only a few members at the conference! There are a couple of
things, however, that I need to get feedback about from all of you.

Bianca Lara Zachary requested that we put the word out for a new
treasurer. She is in full-time mommy mode and also continuing to be
involved with her administration work and helping to start up new
endeavors this fall! So....she asked if someone could take on this
(easy) task. She will give you all the info you need to take this up.
All you need to do is receive the money I send you and deposit the $.
Also, I ask for a treasurer's report every so often. Please think it
over and consider helping out in this way!!! Thank you Bianca for
filling this role so well!!

Another idea put out at the meeting - What do you think of a 90 day
free trial membership? If someone downloaded a file or two and found
it helpful, maybe they would become a full time member.

And lastly, PLEASE consider uploading music files, articles and info
so that members have something worth joining for!!! I can't do it all
alone!
