Dear all

This was a very special and
personal evening with Andy White. He mostly performed on
his own without band. The setlist was unique. Most
soings were from this rare and b-sides album. There are
many of them never performed live. Knowing that he was
very nervous. For me he had no reason. His performance
was very strong. I enjoyed the evening very
much.

If you want this album you can order it from himself
on www.andywhite.com or from our well known
Peter.

There are 15 songs on this album and it is another
pearl IMO.

Regards
Marcel

Andy's gig last night in Dortmund was marvellous!
It was an extremely small stage in a pub/club called
Subrosa in the "ghetto" of the city but it didn't matter
anyway ;-)
Before Andy came on stage Michael Weston
King played for about an hour, he's a very good
musician, too! However, I've never heard of him before. But
I think I'll buy his solo album...
Andy
performed about ten songs, as far as I remember: Come Down
To The Sea, Six String Street, Religious Persuasion,
Get Back Home, James Joyce's Grave, Travelling
Circus, Vision Of You, If You Don't Know It By Now,
Groovy Kind Of Way and another song which I actually
can't remember. Perhaps it was One Last Kiss, but I'm
not sure. Michael & Andy performed two encore songs
together; a song of The Clash, I think, and "Mama Mia" of
ABBA!!! The background story: Next to the stage was the
loo, and there were ABBA posters on the doors, haha!
Anyway, both musicians were in a very good mood that
evening. So was the audience, although I had the feeling
that most of the people there didn't know Andy White
at all. By the way, you could buy CDs, the book, and
some T-shirts after the show! Unfortunately, I
couldn't talk to Andy after the gig, my two companions had
to be back home early, so...

Hey Sphinx,
Yes I am a memeber of the Hothouse

took pictures, but he usually comes out after the show
and talks to the people who stick around. He has done
that both times I have seen him, and he would probably

Hey thanks for the invite to the club. I have met
Andy a couple of times in Seattle, and he is pretty
cool. I do have the book,(signed) and think his poetry
is amazing. His style is very unique.
Michael

Hi Valery!

First: WELCOME!!! It's great to
have you here :-)

I've just created this "club"
(what an unsuitable word) a few hours ago, but I hope
there will be more people joining us in the next few
days. These "Yahoo! Clubs" are great: We have our own
message board here, even our own chatroom! So, it will
hopefully be a nice place for AW fans to hang around.

So, you had a short interview with Andy some time
ago? What did you talk about? Sorry, I'm always that
curious ;-)

About his book "The Music of What
Happens": According to the information on the official
homepage it is/was only available in book shops in
Ireland. Or - like you mentioned - also by mail order. I
ordered my copy last year, paid it by Eurocheque. Do you
have Eurocheques? If not, did you contact Andy about
any other possibility to pay the book? Perhaps there
are other ways, e.g. paying cash. But I don't know,
unfortunately...

Greetings!

Nicki

It is always cool to meet new friends. Thanks
again for the invitation. Andy White is always
interesting. My interest of him is both personal and
professional since I work for a radio. I had the chance to
take a short interview soem time ago and I must say it
was a very special moment 4 me. I'm also a fan of his
music. Never had a chance to read his book. Can U help
me with that? I live in Bulgaria and there are no
books of AW on sale here. Since I don't have a credit
card I can't buy it on-line...but I'm ready 2 pay for
it in any other way...
c ya
Best
Regards
Valery Schwarz
Bulgaria
