I haven't bought the new r&r cd and don't intend to. I love Ani... well, at
least her older stuff. The last CD I didn't regret buying was Little
PLastic Castle. I think a lot of people are just so eager to say "I love
Ani! And I will always love her" and I don't have any reason to say that
anymore. I know A LOT of people are losing interest. Her audience has
shifted into a whole new group of people. Hey, if you can enjoy her older
stuff and her newer stuff, thats great! I just can't keep buying CDs and
forcing myself to listen to them over and over until I like it.
On another note, someone mentioned that Erin McKeown opened for Ani at a few
shows! Did anyone get to see Erin? She plays at my college sometimes,
along with Melissa Ferrick and Catie Curtis, and I absolutely love Erin! I
recommmend her to anyone who misses Ani's older stuff. It's just Erin and a
guitar. She is super cute and has lots of energy. I got to chat with her
the last couple times she came to my college and she has a lot more great
stuff to come in the future... check her out!!!
