The mission of Arkansas Celtic Music Society is three-fold:

1) to promote Celtic music in central Arkansas and thereby to increase awareness of the cultural heritage of those whose ancestors emigrated from the Celtic lands; including Ireland, Scotland, Wales, The Isle of Man, Cornwall, Brittany, and Galicia;

2) to arrange and promote concerts in central Arkansas by Celtic performers, and to organize regular "sessions" at which musicians will be welcome to play in the idiom most typical of traditional musicians from Celtic countries;

3) to contribute to educational efforts which draw attention to traditional Celtic music and dance, and emphasize the Celtic origins of traditional Arkansas music.
