Oscillating Innards - Formed in 2001 in Redwood City CA, Oscillating
Innards is a solo endeavor of Gordon Ashworth (Noisecop, ex-Peyote
Calamity, Iatrogenesis Records). Live performances typically include
powerful, abrasive blasts of acoustic/electric noise, thick droning
ambience, and searing analog electronic textures. Pedestrian Deposit
exists as an 'abrasive electronics' unit in California's Central San
Joaquin Valley -- an area devoid of most culture. Recordings are
difficult to classify; one might be a meticulously crafted work,
full of rising peaks, heavily layered breakdown sections, and
dynamic editing; Clew Of Theseus Ben Brucato's noise endeavors began
as experimentation & recording projects in the mid-nineties. In
1997, the first official release as Clew Of
Theseus, "Memorial:006306" 7" (Interbang/Create A Villain Of Your
Own), was released in memory of Merle Austin Africa. At the time,
Brucato's exposure to noise was nonexistent. Influences came from
early industrial music & experimentation by hardcore & grind bands.
In fact, his first noise records were acquired through trading
copies of his first release. Small, self-released copies of
cassettes were all that bridged the gap from that release to the
first releases on his label, Cathartic Process in 2002. Releases
like the splits with Black Sand Desert, Sewer Election, & 3"s like
the "Clue of Thesis", "Home/Visitation" & others came quickly. 2003
saw the first full-length, "The Playground of the Damned" (released
in short run for the 2003 Nor-Cal Noise Fest by the artist, official
release on Solipsism forthcoming), & 2005 the second, "No Will To
Live" on Harsh Noise. Clew has performed at the 2003 Oakland Noise
Fest, the 2003 Nor-Cal Noise Fest, the 2004 SF Harsh Noise Fest, &
other big shows, & about a dozen, locally in Phoenix, Including
the 'Phoenix Noise Fest 2005.' As All Die Martial Industrial/Neofolk
Recording Artist On Such labels as 'Crowd Control
Activities, 'Somnambulant, ' 'Foreshadow Productions',
& 'RRRecords !' Having played across the US at Providence Industrial
fest, Phoenix Noise Fest, & RRRecords etc. As All Die is one of the
few American neofolk bands that has survived for the long term.
Having released albums in America and across the Atlantic in Europe
As All Die has remained a regular contributor to the neofolk &
martial music arena. The themes of the music are martial in tone as
the lyricists speaks of power politics, toppling social & political
hierarchies & destroying the weak The themes of social Darwinism are
reminiscent of some of Boyd Rice's work or the Scorpion Wind album.
