A multimedia experience in the desert. Gamma Like Very Ultra
performs with an array of Local Experimental Tucson artists and
musicians
Join us for a set of improvised viking art rock.
Autopoiesis:
Poiesis is a Greek term that means production. Autopoiesis means
autoproduction. This word appeared for the first time in the
international literature in 1974, in an article published by Varela,
Maturana, and Uribe, in which living beings are seen as systems that
produce themselves in a ceaseless way.
Although this is a party, it is a night of collaborative creation
first and foremost. Alcohol will NOT be provided, although
contributers and attendees alike are all welcome to BYOB.
what & who?
AUTOPOEISIS is a collaborative event with an emphasis on
experimentation. Together we are 16 visual artists, 4 bands, 2 DJ's,
and 1 fire performance artist. We will show work in a variety of
media including: photography, painting, printmaking, graphics and
video. This playful night of art, multimedia and music embodies the
creative spirit of our community.
where & when?
May 19th, 2007 ~ doors open at 6pm, music begins at 7:30 and the
