I am happy to report that I managed to get the CD "Bill Haney's Atlanta
Southern Soul Brotherhood Volume 2" for just under $15.00 from a dealer
at Amazon Associates. A few copies showed up there last week for under
$20.00. For some reason these were all priced about half the offered
price for volume one. I can't find volume one for under $35.00 and
that is more than I am willing to pay mostly for one track by Arthur
Alexander. Actually, I really like everything on volume two. Great,
well-performed tunes all.
Arthur's sole (soul?) track here is "You Ain't For Real". The horns
are little shakey and in one spot I hear Arthur strain a little on a
tricky note but really enjoyable just the same.
One other track sounds a lot like Arthur, but I really don't think it's
him: "My Love Is True" by Jarvis Jackson.
