Hey Dave: It's nice to know that there are some more fans of oldtime music west of Atlanta. My partner and I occasionally go down to Maloof's on North Avenue to listen to Albert Smith and friends on Saturday afternoons but we usually have to go as far as North Carolina or West Virginia for our music fix. Oldtime does pull you in. We are very very rank beginners and have played very little for the past couple of years. Let us know if you get any more responses. We live between Douglasville and Carrollton and I work Saturday and Sunday nights which limits me a bit. All the best. Bill and MaryW

Subject: [atloldtime] SLOW JAM ANYONE?
Hi, my name is Dave, I've been taking fiddle lessons for only about 8
months now, but i was wondering if there are any other beginners out
there that would like to get together for a slow jam? I live in Powder
Springs, and would be open to hosting something during the week, or
even Sundays.I'd also be willing to go to such a jam, as long as it's
not to far. I'm pretty new to old time music,Ive been a fan of
bluegrass for quite some time, and I still like some of it, but if
you're reading this you know there's something about old time that just
sucks you in. I'm really looking foreward to learning about this music,
and meeting fellow fans and players.Feel free to contact me for
anything. Thanks, Dave.
