For those of you who live in the south Georgia area, there's a new
festival starting in Monticello, FL - just south of Thomasville, GA
about 20 miles or so. The festival, Southern Music Rising, is
sponsored by the Foundation for the Preservation of Historic American
Music, and will feature several stages downtown as well as the
historic Monticello Opera House, craft & food vendors, an all-day jam
circle inside the Opera House, and an open mike area stage. For a
