AURORA JANE & MASSIVE CHANGE = Australian progressive roots fusion act “spearheaded by Jane Hole, who carries with her, in her intention, her music, and her song, a philosophical, political & spiritual conviction, a belief in fairness and social justice.” The innovative new-roots sound of AJMC has exploded from Australian stages across the ocean to the festivals and stadiums of NE India, where their distinctive blend of musical styles fusing roots, funk, folk, rock, reggae & flavours of world has taken the country by storm!
In her ten-year career, Aurora Jane has played hundreds of shows, touring throughout Australia, India, Canada, East Timor & New Zealand. Once introduced at Woodford Folk Festival as “the secret lovechild of Ani Difranco & Jimi Hendrix” the 24 year old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, is renowned for her intricate yet chunky guitar style, definitive bass lines, & soaring vocals. Aurora Jane’s groovin’ new band Massive Change deliver the goods live & in the studio, featuring the amazing talents of: Ben Karsay (Drums), Linden Lester (Bass), Carla Versitano (Vocals), Dan Brown (Keys) & Tim Foley (Percussion). AJMC are proud to be part of an international music community, which is presently playing an integral role in the peaceful uprising against corporate globalisation
Since emerging onto the scene in the early months of 2004, AJMC have toured almost constantly, only taking time out to record their striking debut EP ‘Release’, (# 7 in the AIR charts), and critically acclaimed debut album ‘What is it?’. “an album of distinctive and intelligent tracks …a welcome antidote to the bland pop generally foisted on us by commercial radio.” AJMC have enjoyed extensive radio airplay from triple j & Radio National in Australia, to networks across the USA and Canada
