I love that this group exists and promotes this music but it seems there are
some essential bands missing on both the home page of this group and the
messages/discussion. It's great that wonderful bands like Magma, Henry Cow and
Univers Zero are included but what about essential avant-prog bands like
Miriodor, Koenjihyakkei, Ruins, Nuclear Rabbit, Mr. Bungle, Idiot Flesh,
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Cortex Bomb, or Vladimir 'n' ze Sheraf Orkestar? As
good Henry Cow, bondage fruit, 5uus and Naked City are, they certainly aren't as
creative or good as the latter bands I just mentioned. I think it's unfair that
certain avant-prog bands are considered the best and essential while bands that
are far better get left out from avant-prog discussion.
