I got the Newsletter in the mail, and it's a beautiful job, Ron. Thanks for
including my (too long) piece, I appreciate that. It will be nice to perform at
the Alec Wilder concert this year, my first time in a LONG time.

By the way, sad news: Gerry Niewood, the saxophonist killed in the Buffalo plane
crash, was a Rochester musical fixture, Eastman graduate, and I'm sure had
contact with Alec, although we'd never talked about it. Gerry's son Adam is
also a terrific saxophonist, and is my student. Sad to say that the guitarist
killed, Coleman Mellett, was also my student in the early 90s. Ouch.
