Classical Guitar meets Stand Up Comedy - Lumpy in Concert in L.A.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1442 of 1546 |
You know (and I like starting these emails with
"you know") nothing says "I love you", to that
special significant other in your life, than
to take them out to a great concert.

But then there's always the dilemma, do we
go out and see a hilarious stand up comic
or do we go out and see an incredible
fingerstyle guitarist?

Well your old pal Craig 'Cupid Lumpy' Lemke
has taken care of that dilemma for you. Why?
Because I care..:-)..

Instead of buying your sweetie those silly
little "be mine" and "you're hot" candies
made out of sugar, sand and pink dye, come
to my concert in Altadena on Saturday Feb 12th.

"But Lumpy, I don't live anywhere near Altadena"
you exclaim. That's even better! Show that loved
one you really care -

"Honey we're going to Altadena tonight!"

'Altadena! We live in Miami!'

"I know. But I love you so much, I'd take
you anywhere so that you can have a good time"

'Oh sweetie! You're the greatest!'

See how nice that plays out..:-)..

Need more practical reasons to come to my concert?
How about this:

Yanni tickets cost $150
George Strait tickets cost $500
Both of those expect the women to throw
panties on stage at the artist.

My concert tickets cost only $15. And if you
like, I'll throw my panties at you!

Need still more convincing? Ok, how about this.

Ever wondered who wrote that Helen Reddy hit
"Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady"?

Burt Bacharach? No.
Jimmy Webb? No.
Mick Jagger? Well, no.

It was Harriet Schock. She wrote that and a
gazillion other pop tunes that we all recognize
but never thought to find out who was the composer.

Harriet will be there, on stage, performing some
of her hits! Harriet was also the stunt double
for "Xena, Warrior Princes". You might recognize
her, although I don't think she'll be in
that costume.

Come to the concert. We'll have a fabulous time.
It's in the most wonderful small house venue in
the world. All the seats are close to the stage.
Everyone can see and hear perfectly. It's simple
to find, Lake avenue just 2 miles north of
interstate 210/Colorado Blvd in Altadena. Park
free, right out front on Lake Ave and you're just
a few steps from a comedy and musical romance
enhancing evening that will surely stoke the
flames of your sweetie's heart.

Hint - Have an expresso or a latte while you're
there so you won't waste any of that new found
romance energy.

Here's the details:
Saturday Feb 12th, 7pm and 9:30pm
The Coffee Gallery Backstage
2029 N Lake Ave
Altadena CA 91001

If you're not there, I'll make fun of
you in my monologue..;-)..
