$5 Cover- This event qualifies as an Anthology Member's Pass Event

Join competing poets Doyle, Kelsey Miller, Ashley Mack, The
Amendment, Sammie Tapia, Corbet Dean, Troy Sterner, Ivan, and Tristan
Marshell as they compete for a $100 first place prize. This slam will
be hosted by none other than Bill Campana. A special Feature will be
performed by Bob Nelson. No, I did not reverse those names, and yes,
Bob will actually READ poetry, HIS poetry, AND have copies of his CD
available for sale. As hopefully some of the evening's competing
poets will.

Poets are scrambling to get to the Del Sol Reception Hall and the
shot to become a member of the 2006 Mesa National Slam Team. Join us
for poetry insanity as the best of the greater Phoenix community come
together and speak their minds and hearts. This slam earns any poet
interested in competing for the team points towards that goal. Since
1994. The Essenzaslam Poetry Slam is the longest running slam in the
state of AZ.
