Don't Forget Steve Marsh Poetry Wednesday, December 12th   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1540 of 1546 |
Anthology, Inc. Partners with The Paper Heart to bring you a special
series of readings and workshops by some of the most respected
performance poets across Phoenix, Arizona and the Country. This
program has received matching grants from The City of Phoenix Office
of Arts and Culture, as well as The Arizona Commission on the Arts.

In December, Anthology is proud to present Steve Marsh at The Paper
Heart, Wednesday, December 12th at 6pm for a free poetry workshop and
8pm for a featured performance.

A poet since his high school days, Steve Marsh taught high school
English and Speech for twenty years while writing and performing
throughout the Midwest and the rest of the nation. He has performed in
bars, high schools, libraries, churches, community centers, middle
schools, birthday parties and outdoors. He works in both prose and
poetry. No subject is taboo; no personality is safe. He has been the
Executive Director of Poetry Slam, Inc. since 1999 and has been a
Poetry Slammer and, until recently, co-host of the Ann Arbor Poetry
Slam, the second oldest poetry slam in the known universe, since 1989.
In 1995 he launched The Westside Press which changed its name in 1999
to The Wordsmith Press.

Beginning at 6PM, Steve will be conducting a free workshop for poetry,
followed by his feature at 8PM. Opening up for Steve will be local
poet Bob Nelson.
