Join us Thursday May 15 for the women's open mic
talent showcase at the Montclair Women's Cultural
Arts Club, 7:30 pm.

This is an all-women event and all women are welcome.

We are lucky to have MARTINE LOCKE are our
Feature this month! You don't want to miss this
dynamic and fun performer. Dividing her time
between the US and Australia, Martine has been
bringing her acoustic rock/folk brand of music to
the USA for the last 4 years. She has released 8
CDs in a solo capacity and with the highly
successful Australian duo The Velvet Janes, and
has toured with Ani DiFranco, Luka Bloom, The
Cowboy Junkies and Arlo Guthrie. She has played
at a ga-zillion renowned music festivals and
continues to perform over 150 shows a year at
festivals, colleges, clubs and in living rooms
across the country. This Australian
singer/songwriter/guitarist is a one-woman
operation: publicist, manager, booking agent,
record label owner, visionary, producer and
artist. Martine releases her brand new CD with a
special performance on Friday May 16th at Dolores
Park Café (Cnr 18th & Dolores), Show time 7.30pm,
featuring guest musician Julie Wolf.

AND...the heart and soul of Third Thursday: YOU,
as either performer or audience member. Drop in
for some laughs and bring your songs, poems,
prose, instruments, voice or any other talent you
might have. Each performer has 5 minutes to do
their thing, sometimes more in the second half if
time allows. It is an evening rich with
entertainment.

Performance sign-up is at 7 pm, show is from 7:30
to 10:00 with an intermission. A cappella or
plugged in are both encouraged. We have a small
sound system and an electric keyboard.
