This group exists for the purpose of providing a forum for Bay Area choral groups to coordinate season schedules. This group exists independently from ba_choral, and in no way attempts to take over the valuable resources made available by this group.
Representatives (anyone from artists to EDs) from all Bay Area choral groups are encouraged to join. This includes amateur, professional, church, school and community groups. I formed this group with an interest in coordinating western classical (1000 AD - present) events, but all genres can join. "Choral" is defined as music with 3 or more voices singing simultaneously without amplification. Please do not post opera or musical theater events. DO NOT POST UNPUBLISHED INFORMATION UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY THE GROUP DIRECTOR(S).

Members can submit schedule information through the Calendar link on the left-hand menu bar. Please specify whether dates are FINAL or TENTATIVE. Please post events which are open to the public (including liturgies, if appropriate). Add a link to your groups's webpage on the links page.
If you join the group, but do not want group messages sent to your inbox, please select the "no mail" option in your membership profile. You can follow message threads through this web-page.
At present, if you want to check the calendar, you do not need to join the group (This could change given members' feedback). The links, member info, message and posting privileges are available to members.
The calendar is an information resource- not a dictum for how groups should schedule. In addition, this group should not be used to as a marketing tool to promote individual events, engage in business, or recruit artists. Please limit messages to topics concerning the use and usefulness of this list.
