Do you know the Burleigh arrangements of Spirituals?
There are a couple of gems in that collection. Also,
Copland did a collection of American Folk Songs that
are wonderful and appropriate for such an audition:
how about his "Simple Gifts?" Just find one that has a
range you're comfortable with and a text that appeals
to you, and you'll do fine.
