Dear BaroqueMusicLovers;
I am in the process of composing both a general-audience, and a cognoscenti,
review, of Terrell Stone's Excellent! 2000 release, of baroque lute music by
Sylvius Leopold Weiss. 'Six partitas from Warsaw mss.', released on the German
Mondo Musica label.
I would be Very grateful to learn, whether Professor Stone's Weiss CDs have been
reviewed anywhere, and if so, in what paper/electronic journal and when?
Anyone who has heard these discs, I would also be very Grateful, to hear your
opinion on what I think is a superlative, emotive yet 'rational' performance and
recording? (Some have said that the Weiss lute music of the 'Warsaw' manuscript
is markedly inferior to that of the Dresden, London, and Moscow mss., which I
and others would dispute).
With my sincere thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you, I remain
