Blues great Buddy Guy and his wife, Jennifer Guy, recently reached a
divorce settlement, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Guy, 68, filed for divorce in 2002. The couple married in 1991 and
were together since 1975, according to the newspaper. While they did
not release terms of the divorce settlement, Mrs. Guy's attorney
Enrico Mirabelli said, "Mrs. Guy is not singing the blues."
Asked by Mrs. Guy's attorney if he was going to change his hit, Damn
Right I Got the Blues to Damn Right I Got the Divorce Blues, Guy
said no. But he said he would sing Cheaper To Keep 'Er and sang a
few bars for the lawyers, the newspaper reported.
The couple reportedly spent five days debating who should get which
of their five homes, including the $5 million home in Orland Park,
IL. The 20-room house was featured in EBONY in September 2000.
They also argued over who should get their luxury cars-a Rolls
Royce, a Ferrari and a Lexus.
