Good morning folks,
Does anyone have plans & or photographs of a clamping jig that would eliminate
the need for multiple clamps along the entire length of the flute?
I'm aware of the clamping method where one wraps the flute with surgical rubber
/ latex strapping or bicycle intertube.
This method works well. But I'm interested in seeing plans & photographs of a
clamping jig that requires one to use only a few clamps. The jig I'm interested
in would also need to designed in a way that will allow one to have a
non-obstructed access to the embochure / blow hole, SAC exit hole, TSH & the
foot end of the bore, so the glue that has sqeezed out can be easily removed
before the glue becomes to dry.
Please don't lamely suggest I check through all of the old files. As I have
checked through the files & photographs. It is quite possible I have missed
seeing the file / photographs for the clamping jig. If so, could someone please
mention the name of the file that the clamping jig is listed under?
Thank you in advance to all those who will respond.
In peace,
Joe

Joe, I have been thinking of a jig which would consist of two rows of pegs between which you would place your two halves with the seam vertical. The clamping...

Can you get some wax paper in between the surfaces you don't want glued together? The little bit that doesn peel off can be sanded off easily. High density...
