I don't know how to make rosin...I suppose a google
search may be in order ;)

Most rosin is not that expensive, especially if bought
at a supply house. I am in the NYC area and use
Nyman's, lots of folks here also use Pops....neither
are expensive. If you are a student and have nylon
hair on your bow, I recommend Pops as it will grab
better.

I believe rosin is climate dependent...what's best in one climate may not be in another climate. Some bassists make their own rosin too... AE ... ...

I used to make my own rosin. I would pick it up from bleeding boards at a lumber yard. Then I would heat it in a can. The dirt will go to the bottom of the can...
