Hi all,

I'm new to the Harmonet but I am not new to this great hobby of ours. My
question is ....Did anyone feel let down by the emcees? The first one, Joe
Jenkins did nothing but remind us of the schedule of events that was printed in
our programs. I have heard the Gassman brothers quite a few times and it seemd
as though they were reined in as far the quantity of the jokes. I felt the same
way about Bill Biffle and Jim Bagby. The times when no one was at the podium
were absolutely boring. Is this the wave of the future? Just asking.

I much prefer a presenter who comes out when there is something to say, rather than an emcee who tries to fill all the empty space between contestants. That...

I loved hearing the Gassman brothers, and while I don't particularly miss the (usually) bad jokes, I do miss the stories of days gone by. Being relatively new...

Larry, I loved you and your brother's emcee work - sometimes the chorus contest can really drag with the long time between contestants but not this year! ...
